Who’s Next? Mortal Kombat X Worldwide Competitive Program

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have teamed up with The Electronic Sports League (ESL) for the Who’s Next? Mortal Kombat X Worldwide Competitive Program, which includes the Fatal 8 Exhibition Tournament and Mortal Kombat X ESL Pro League Tournament. The series of tournaments invites Mortal Kombat X players from North America and Europe to compete for bragging rights and the chance to secure winnings from a prize pool that starts at $100,000.



The program kicks off April 11 with the Fatal 8 Exhibition Tournament showcasing top pro-fighting players from around the globe as they go head-to-head in the inaugural Mortal Kombat X competition. Fans can watch the tournament live from the ESL studios in Burbank by getting tickets atmkxfatal8.eventbrite.com or online at NetherRealm Studios’ Twitch channel atwww.twitch.tv/netherrealm.



Beginning April 19, the worldwide Mortal Kombat X ESL Pro League Tournament opens to Xbox One players from across North America and Europe. Through weekly competitions that offer cash prizes, players can earn their spot as one of the 16 players sent to the grand finals to be held July 11 in Los Angeles.

Tried my hardest not to watch that story vid but damn they did an amazing job. Worth every penny and they definitely setting the standard.

Ever since we first learned that Goro would have his place in the roster via pre-orders, digitally or in retail, the community has yearned to see some gameplay with the Shokan prince. But in the past seven Kombat Kasts or so, he was nowhere to be found...however, that is finally about to change.

As revealed in the image below, the Mortal Kombat X team will appear on stream at the Twitch TV headquarters situated in San Francisco to quench our thirst for Goro gameplay. The event is scheduled for 1 P.M. PST, lasting for five hours. For your convenience, we will decode the correct schedules for each time zone in the United States.

1 P.M. Pacific Time translates to the following:

  • 2 P.M. Mountain Time
  • 3 P.M. Central Time
  • 4 P.M. Eastern Time
The stream channel designated for this broadcast is . Be sure to follow that channel and free up some time in your Saturday schedule, because you DON'T want to miss out!

Gonna miss stage fatalities but doh well. Still wish everyone had more than 2 regular fatalities too.
 
I'm cool with a few fatalities per character , but I always tend to do fights with the no blood code to speed up the sets instead. I'm all about the mechanics of the game.

Yeah fatalities are kind of like the opponent has to earn it. Like if you fight a scrub you don't fatality them, you just do a special move or a high kick
 
There's a time when I play "serious" but there's also time when I'm online just trolling for rage quits. Beat a dude a tbag for as long as I can, then turn them into a baby and never press rematch so they hear the baby cry :rofl:
