It's his shoe but not really, like rondo and hyperfuse, kyrie and hyperrev, kd and hyperrize, kobe and hyperdunk. They usually have their flagship shoes worn by signature athletes so, the athlete may wear the shoe exclusively but it's technically not a signature shoe
 
I bet these play nicely and I anticipate the fit to be a little nicer/more secure than the Crusader.  But since I already have the Crusader I am going to chill on these

I agree with you that he probably deserves better, but what if this is just what he wants, you know?

Harden has always played in lows.  Maybe he just wants a no-nonsense, great fitting and feeling low-top.  He doesn't need something with all the bells and whistles.

Also -- it isn't clear that this shoe is his sig, just a regular Nike performance model he is wearing

I think these will be his first half of the season shoe with numerous PEs and what not like the Crusaders. Then during the second half (maybe All-Star weekend) he'll switch to his true sigs as rumored in the 2015 Nike Sigs thread. The OP of that thread has yet to divulge any news on that March 2015 release, he just went MIA. Again this is just speculation, would love to have more info.

i don't have the crusaders but they look just like them. My foot felt very locked in. I could feel the forefoot zoom very nicely. I really liked the way these felt. Like I said I'm very impressed for 100 bucks. They feel like part of your foot. Very narrow though.
 
I loved the Zoom Crusader but these are better looks wise. Looks more sleeker. I believe if the Zoom Crusader was on nike ID they'd have done big numbers.

i loved the crusaders too- light shoes with a GREAT lockdown (honestly didn't even need to tie the shoes).  the thing i didn't like about them was the two pull tabs and no tongue.  these look like the next crusader with the afforementioned things fixed.  hope i can pick up a black/white pair to ball/beat around in once they go on sale.
 
More then likely, a lot of player lean towards putting Orthotic's in their sneaker's including that chick that left back to Cleveland. Lol.
