I think people just got spoiled with the 9 that was released backwards with the Masterpieces leading the way and them dropping elites like regular models. We usually only get a few elites for each athlete.

i could go for a sting ver kobe elite, it's crazy that these are sitting so hard though i believe they were produced way more than the 9s were which is also a factor, 9s were under produced which gave it the look of selling faster making people flock to them to give them a chance, also better back stories, lets see moonwalkers, thrillers and beets vs DSGT, mambacurials and rivals, 9s winning on names alone, maybe if the rivals were celtics or pistons or spurs colors they would've done better but who cares about his highschool rivals

 and if the mambacurials had just a couple small detail changes, and no DSGT wears orange, heck we don't wear teal either but change the orange to black or a brown and atleast it makes sense

I always get excited for Xmas colorways. Probably cuz the Xmas 8 is possibly my favorite shoe of all time. I'm excited that this year is an elite low but going by the trend I think I'm going to be let down and it's just going to be like the thriller 9
