I don't think these were even initially supposed to. Somewhere down the line they just gave it the name to add "something" to it. Either way, no, they don't touch the 8's but it's still a nice shoe

Dunno, if you look at the current, newest batch of Mercurials, the colors are consistent with this Kobe (black/pink/grey). Toe swoosh is on a different side, but, oh well.

the swoosh is the main thing, i guess you could say they incorporated 2 colorways into one and that would have made sense
