Kobe probably reads mike talk and wants to piss us off by teasing us with what we should have had :lol:

He'll be wearing the 10's in game. He did the same thing last year. He as still wearing some 8's and then when it came down to it balled in the 9's. I suspect its the same thing this year.
 
I lived in LA for a good bit, and I'm a Kobe fan/shoe collector, but I could care less about Laker CW's - not my favorite combo of colors. I think the Team High this year was a wearable LA CW, unlike the Showtime, but that's just my opinion.
 
Not sure if the swoosh is being shown as reflective or not on this pic, but I like them better with the green swoosh compared to the other pics that make it look silver.

Looking at the footlocker blog, I'm guessing its the silver swoosh with green outline.

With the 30+ colorways that they release yearly for some of these sigs, I think they can afford to release at least 1 or a couple different colorways that match the sig athlete's team colors. Some of these "story" colorways that they have come out with instead are just flat out awful and unnecessary, like the Pop Arts or Brazil EM 9s from last year. I guess they figure the diehard team fans will end up making their own stuff on NikeiD anyway while they push more "mainstream" colorways like the blue/green pair as GRs, but I don't think a Laker colorway would do much worse than some of the random stuff they've come up with in recent years.

I agree with that - plenty of crap CW's on the mesh versions last year and this year.
 
it's crazy bcuz adidas makes like 3-4 team colorways for their sig athletes, you think nike could atleast do home and away

10000000% AGREE!..Thats why JORDAN RETROS sell so good,  cause in most cases for us  the exact colorway of the shoe that MJ wore is associated with a MJ memory, =SOLD OUT!

PEs suck cause we don't gettem "obviously" lol, and most of the time Kobe, LeBron, KD etc are creating memorable games in "Colorwayz" that we never get a chance to buy   IMO

Well, Jordan retros sell really well for a lot of reasons - even CW's MJ never wore sell out. It's just a hype social media status juggernaut. Releases aren't even occasional or special anymore, it's every week, and they sell out.

Exactly. Some Jordan shoes don't need some silly stories, the stories are already written. For example, Flu Game 12s, Last Shot 14s, all his playoff shoes. These are shoes he's had memorable games or moments in and that's the reason some of us love them. Can't get that these days anymore and it kinda sucks

is shattered backboard considered a sillie story or that is just what happen when wearing that colorway? Presume it is the latter, but still came with a story.

With these new sigs, they want reasons/inspiration for the cw. I'm sure if the player does something for example kobe scoring bazillion, the story will change.

If Westbrook kept wearing the same cw when he had the triple double streak, that would the story for that xx9.

shattered backboard was the Jersey color of the nike exhibition game. MJ wore the 'chicago'
 
Like you guys said most of the time current athletes have noteable performances when they are in PE's that never get released. I'm surprised Nike has never QS these certain colorways. For example say Kobe drops 50 in a game wearing a PE they title it and do a random drop. Would give a lot of a buzz to a line that has been down. Could obviously do this for other notable Nike superstars too for other achievements
