Traction of the 8?!

Have you played in the 9's at all? They have the best reaction out of any Kobe shoe.
 
They look like running shoes instead of balling shoes. Not looking too favoring

To me they look like a sequel to the lunar hypergamer low. Between the fuse, lunar bottom, even the heel looks similar. Hopefully they turn out much better. 
 
If anything the back resembles the 9 EM a bit. That sole is killing it for me though. I see a lot of icy soles in the future to showcase the zoom bag, which is a negative for me.

I agree.  It looks like a cross between the hypergamer and the KD V elite.  

Personally I really like the shape of the shoe.  Looking forward to official details/tech specs.  I know some may complain that the upper is maybe a step back, but the flyknit upper on the IXs was a letdown for me.  A flexible, breathable fuse might be more enjoyable anyway

These were actually some of my favorite shoes to ball in.

The Kobe Xs look like they have a wider base which already makes them a step up.

Idk how Nike goes from creating a phenomenal shoe made with Flyknit and then downgrade to a shoe made out of fuse material
