I've followed the Kobe IX thread closely and I must say this thread is a lot slower than the IX thread was at this time last year. But I think no news is good news in this case. Can't wait. Kobe shoeline >

If those pics above are the KBX it looks alot like a Lunar Heel and A KBV combined.
 
Probably trying to hold off as long as possible. They don't want people to stop dropping $225 on the IX.
 
The build up for the 9's was crazier on NT...then again this time last year we already had the pics for 2-3 weeks
 
I absolutely hate that they're continuing this Spring drop madness for the Kobe X's... he's not even hurt this year, but I guess they want to get a full calendar run out of the IX's. And I see they're going w/ the Elite BS as the first release again...

I hope the bottom has carbon fiber/zoom set up. I have been wearing my 9 EM's in the gym a lot and the other day I slipped on some black Kobe 6's I use as beaters. I miss that rigid bounce feeling the carbon fiber gives with the zoom. Plus aesthetically, I like how the carbon fiber breaks up the outsole/bottom of the shoe, this year the outsole seemed too "flat" all the way across. Overall though I like the way the upper is more padded on the 9 EM than the kobe 8. The kobe 8 was a little too slim for me. Happy to see the 10 will be a low top!!

There was the Prelude Pack to build up hype too. I'm sure once we get to end of December or January, things will start rollin. Usually just takes that one teaser pic or pic of a wear test pair
 
The Kobe 9 was missing that bounce to them. They felt flat (especially the hightops) in my opinion. Felt like the shoe was trying to prevent me from playing on my toes. It would be nice if the Kobe X was ultra low, super light weight with a bounce in the cushioning. Im all for lighter and lower and I loved the 8's, although the 9 is much more durable. Hopefully the X is a performance beast
 
I also think the Kobe 9 miss the bouncy effect of Zoom and carbon plate, but they stick to the floor perfectly thanks to the flexibility of the lunar setup coupled with the traction pattern.
 
That'd why I rocked the lebron XI insole in the elite 9s, the regular lunar insert just doesn't do it for me after like a week of hooping in them.
