He was/is and he dropped some dope verses. However, his tapes were not that good, in my opinion.
I'm excited to hear this compilation album. I wish he would have featured his artists a bit more but then if he did that, not too many people would be checking for it. Should be good.

Good review, haven't heard the album yet, just got it from bestbuy. I notice you mention a lot of features. Not sure if you know, this is a compilation album for all his artist he's sign and his new label. It's not a "GAME" album.

He spazzes on FUN too, Album is dope, only a cpl tracks are filler material but those are the ones featuring his artists so no biggie.

I got that - it's not really billed as that on the cover though. Like if I didn't read it online and hadn't listened to it, just off top I would think it was a Game album
but i know its mostly a hype piece for the Documentary 2
honestly though most the features were not dope. i wish it had been a full blown Game album, he had all the best verses. beats were pretty good to for the most part.

The Game Sounds Hungrier Than Ever On His Album ‘Blood Moon: Year Of The Wolf’

The Game is angry— a fact he is definitely self-aware of. Surely, it has nothing to do with one-time foe Memphis Bleek, who is more than likely laying back and chilling somewhere. Ditto for Young Gunz. And after launching a very public and long-lasting “G-Unot” campaign, The Game can’t be surprised he was not asked to partake in the Gorilla Unit reunion festivities. Possibly the feeling stems from a slight damper on his mainstream light. While not quite Billboard successes like The Documentary or The Doctor’s Advocate, The Game has buttressed his consistent resume in recent years, most recently 2012’s concept album Jesus Piece. While the specifics of the cause are unknown, the symptoms are present—The Game is angry, and the music is all the better for it.
Blood Moon: Year Of The Wolf is mostly pervaded by a sinister ambience that works wonders in The Game’s favor. This time, the focus isn’t religion at all, and he makes that clear on “Bigger Than Me,” an extended, incensed diatribe against the current climate of the hip-hop landscape: “I came in with ‘Ye, Jeezy, and boss *** ****** / Yo Freshman cover a whole bunch of soft *** ******.” (Cover stars Kevin Gates and Troy Ave have since responded). Similarly, tracks like “F.U.N.” are not to be mistaken with celebratory endeavors, as The Game once again reverts to his primary objective, even sampling Eminem’s crazed “rage” flow towards the waning minutes.
The guests on the album are for the most part enveloped into the orbit as well. On “Really,” Yo Gotti and 2 Chainz sound more heated than ever, and even Soulja Boi gets aggro on the chorus. Hip-hop and Auto-Tune is a hit or miss process, but on “**** Yo Feelings” Lil Wayne and The Game get the formula right in more ways than one. The Game frequently adopts the flows of his contemporaries as a sign of respect, such as his Eminem impression on “We Ain’t,” from The Documentary and more recently his J. Cole impression from “Pray” on Jesus Piece. While not cut from the same insta-classic ilk, the formula works on “**** Yo Feelings” for the same reason The Notorious B.I.G. found success on an instrumental outside his comfort zone on “Notorious Thugs.” The Game even temporarily incorporates his little brother Kendrick Lamar’s alto, helium-voiced technique on another standout from the album, “Cellphone.”
While not a concept album in the strict tense, Blood Moon: Year Of The Wolf fails to resonate on the rare occasions where The Game strays from the somber tone to lighten the mood, such as “On One,” “Take That,” and “Married To The Game.” Not only do they steer the album away from a solid state of cohesion, but aside from a disastrous radio campaign with “Or Nah,” these tracks are the textbook definition of filler. They provide troublesome roadblocks to the magnetism of the wolf-spirited trajectory evidenced on real gems like “Trouble On My Mind” and “The Purge.” With a heavy heart and head against the backdrop of soulful, funereal sounding instrumentals, The Game puts together two of the deepest, enduring cuts in his entire catalog.
Freddie Gibbs and Bobby Shmurda join Game on the fiery, gutter anthem “Hit ‘Em Hard.” Despite two animated verses from Game and Gibbs, it is Inglewood native and recent Blood Money signee Skeme who steals the show, rhyming: “We do walk-by’s and hop outs / Got slidin’ doors on that van *****.” Not to be surpassed by his former protégé, Jeezy helps The Game pull the curtains down on “Black On Black.” Once again The Game pays homage to Jeezy, brazenly doing his best Tha Snowman impression on a triumphant MeKanics’ beat. But Kevin Gates is the most impressive, proving to be a Freshman undaunted by his more established alumni on the last track of Blood Moon. With the year almost in the history books, all writings on the wall point to the tentatively titled The Documentary 2 being a spectacle in 2015.—Kellan Miller

I have a feeling Documentary 2 is gonna be on point. Seems like Game is better lyrically than he has ever been. Plus getting back in with Dre, Kendrick, Storch, he's in Miami now with Cool and Dre is gonna be amazing.
Hoping for some dope features like Nas, Busta, X, Snoop, Cube, Nips etc as opposed to Ross, Chainz, Montana, etc. even tho he's made some dope stuff with them. Id like it if he keeps it true to og form as he's been saying.

DJ Whoo Kid says a Game, G-Unit reunion is "at phone call level," provides an update on his status at G-Unit.
The possibility of Los Angeles, California rapper Game rejoining G-Unit has remained bleak, but one G-Unit affiliate says the possibility of such a reunion is a mere phone call away.
During a newly-released interview with HipHopWired.com, DJ Whoo Kid spoke on the reunion of G-Unit and the chances of Game joining the group he was once a part of. According to Whoo Kid, he’s not sure if a full reunion will go down, but he did reveal that the situation is “at phone call level.”
“Everybody’s back together,” DJ Whoo Kid said. “It’s still one more person. We don’t know if that’s gonna go down, but they’re definitely all together…One more person, but other than that it’s a good look. They’re doing their homework. They doing music. They in the studio. I was in the studio last week. There were a lot of joints. A lot of collabos with other artists too… Even when they were separated the phone call level has always put them together, so it’s at phone call level. So, we’ll see what happens. I’m just talking **** because I should have never brought it up.”
In regards to his status at G-Unit, DJ Whoo Kid says he’s “G-Unit til I die” and although he isn’t always on stage with the group, he helps with marketing, promotions, production, and other areas.
The deejay/radio host gave an update on his status at G-Unit after he was asked if he plans on leaving Shade 45 when G-Unit begins touring.
“I have a meeting with them next week,” he said when asked about his Shade 45 gig. “Cause I’m doing like a million things…I gotta find some time in my schedule, so we’ll talk about it next week. But I have not left the Unit. I’m always gonna be G-Unit until I die. I’ve been with them almost like 13 years. So, all those people that don’t see me with them—But I’m always G-Unit. Whether you like it or not. I run his radio show. I’m on call. I do production, promotions, marketing. I’m just not physically on stage, but I am G-Unit til I die. So, I just wanna make that clear.”
Although DJ Whoo Kid revealed that Game reuniting with G-Unit is a phone call away, other members of the group haven’t been as welcoming to the idea of a G-Unit reunion with Game.

his last album Jesus Piece was his best since Doc Advocate imo. Plus his last cpl mixtapes and remixes have been crazy.

I read this earlier, it would be crazy but im not expecting it to happen. Although Game is cool with Buck and Whoo Kid, i doubt 50 would be open to it, even Game imo, he hasn't talked bout reuniting with them in a few years now. He's busy with getting his label and artists off now

found out a few days ago that sample is from Berner's Come On song which isn't bad either. it's also produced by the same guy who made this song too, he just switched up a few patterns.

If Game does get back with the Unit we could have seen it a mile away. 50 and Game became independent at about the same time from the same label and the business mind that 50 has would make it work. Everything has been planned, even a week before summerjam 50 was saying how everybody (yayo, banks, buck) have to get there stuff together in order for a reunion to ever work then BAM, all them fools were on stage together. You can't tell me they fixed everything in a week (especially with the buck issue). And if you watch the Angie interview 50 kinda leans at the fact that Game did what he did because Henchmen was in his ear. I can see them soaking up whatever momentum they have from the initial reunion with a Unit album, then 50's album drops (around the time Game's album drops or a lil after), then after that momentum dies the "2nd reunion" happens, tour, etc...
