AF1 question

What's good everybody. Seeing as I had a pair of mid tops since 07, they are creased up to the max (still in good condition) I decided to cop an AF1 Lo the other day. When I got it I noticed some changes.. there was no certificate of authenticity like I got with the Mids back in 07 and the lace lock only says AF1 instead of the previous one which had the year under it (I liked that version better)

Can anybody confirm these changes pls? I'm confused about the certificate though, why would they not include that? PS. I bought these at a major sports store not from some Chinese market.
