Yes they are. For a shoe that hasn't released in 15 years combined with the hype of remastered quality and people missing out on some of the holiday release with money to blow. Factor that in with the ability to walk in to a Niketown and they still have a FSR, that is what I consider sitting for these.

They're a retro+, not a OG colorway

And most people don't care about remastered Jordan's. That's for NT. They aren't buying Jordans for quality anyway.

And sitting after a weekend? In most places they sold out or are only remaining in scattered sizes. I wish you dudes would stop saying something is sitting for a Jordan that doesn't sell out in an hour, when you can find every Lebron XII on the shelf.

Then acting like a sneaker not selling out immediately is sending some message to NIke

If a sneaker sold out in 30 seconds or 30 days, it's still the same.

These same Columbias went to outlets and sat long enough to go on sale. When is the last time you saw a Jordan for 50% off?

so how's the comfort in these? Did JB go back to putting OG sized airbags into the remastered series or are they still cheaping out on that too?

No, that will never change. Once they changed to the nitrogen filled air units in 2004, comfort went downhill. After 2008, they changed the padding on the inside of all their shoes, and that's where the comfort went even further downhill. Padding is a little better on these, but not compared to Pre-2007.

Glad everyone is getting their pair without forking ridiculous resell prices.
This.  Wifey and I took a trip to NYC for the first time.  Had the chance to stop by 21 Mercer and was able to cop.  Pretty happy considering I didnt expect to be able to get em.

Actually it's not the same. Yeah they're both tumbled white leather but the columbias are much softer and a tad thicker. The taxis and Laney 5s have he same leather IMO

Exactly!!! Its not the same as the Taxi. It's waaaayyyy much softer and thicker. People whine for top grade leather... then JB delivers and people still whine saying it's the same as recent retros. Thats a bold face lie. This is coming from someone whos has had actual OG releases. The molds may not be OG but the leather and craftsmanship is back!!!!! At least for this release

White/Infrared VI were OG colorway and those sat at stores for just as long. These aren't a new retro+ colorway (infrared 3/sport blue 3) either so there is some history behind the shoe.

They may have sold out in some places, but seeing phone orders for Niketowns and Eastbay having full size run pop back up this morning makes me think there are a lot of pairs still out there enough for everyone to eat.

There is no comparison with Jordan 4 (a classic off-court sneaker) and Lebron XII (pure athletic shoe). Both shoes and brands are completely different. The Lebron XII has not performed well for Nike, but previous models of Lebrons have sold out.

Of course it sends a message to nike when they supposedly invested more money into a product and they aren't flying off shelves.

I agree selling out is the same, but if this trend continues Nike may need to make a change. Gotta keep shareholders happy.

Can't compare 1999 to now. Its a different era. The Hawks and Celtic 1s were going for 50% off in some outlets. Those are also retro+ colorways.

One thing to also consider is the new release time. Made it a lot easier for people on the westcoast.

Btw, I'm no way against these being widely available. Wish every release was like this.
