Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

In my opinion it's all in how you carry yourself and how you wear the shoes, and also what you wear with them. You can still match somewhat and not look ridiculous. Here, I'll put myself out there....flame away if you want. But I think this is nice, simple outfit that I pull off well (I'm a bit older than most of you young bucks).

You can easily look "ghetto" or ratchet wearing Jordans. Like I said, it all depends on how you present yourself, and how you wear the shoes. I lace my shoes like normal, I actually tie them. I'd look stupid IMO with loose, floppy laces. I lace them up as if a person wants the shoe to fit well. I love retro sneakers as I feel they fit my personality. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, even when I "get too old" to be wearing Jordans. I've seen dudes in their 40's rocking J's and pulling it off, because they keep the look simple. 

Here's me:

Just a simple navy polo and some Oly 6's. Some Levi's 514 indigos.

See this is why I don't come to jb forum..all things I mentioned are sone ghetto *** actions..got nothing to do with the word in a sense of an area..
Misuse of a Word? many words mean many diffrent things..these kids are trashy with some ghetto actions beating on ppl for shoes..wearing there shoes just to.show em to ppl then putting em on Craigslist to pay the there bills or cop a new release..ghetto culture trademark..whether jordans been popular in hood areas or not got nothing to do with the class if ppl that are purchasing them...ppl from hood areas are not all ghetto but ppl from rich areas can even have sum ghetto *** actions.. And these ppl that associate. Themselves this way are the main ppl consuming the product now therefore dubbing it a ghetto trademark

All that being said I can understand the increase in price for a higher quality product...But how is it they justify the last few price hikes...This is something that shouldn't have been announced but rather quietly implemented...I've said for years that I'd gladly pay more for better quality and materials...But for them to throw an annual price hike at us then simply say that they weren't giving us a substantial product that justified said price hike's is just kind of a grimy move in my eyes...

Whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth...

Um impretty sure Jordan Brand has done far worse then foams and I hate those ugly things. some foam models are futurisitc and interesting looking, not the pair's that are out.

And jordans don't make you look ghetto they make you look like a streetwear guy.

There are literally fashion models starting to wear jordans with random designer outfits in their off time, they don't make you look ratchet, and matching just has to be done in different ways now then in the past.

Thank you for stating this! I simply can't fathom how threads for every retro product coming out from the time of this announcement to the end of the year even exist? Nike/JB full out state that they have been releasing garbage for the last 5-6 years and promise improvements only in the coming year. Yet you have cornballs asking if $300 for some 'September Blue' :smh: plastic VIs is a good price?

I would not touch a single retro JB product until '15 but lames will be lames.

    Softer leather, more cushioning, triangular mold/shape, thicker and longer tongues
    True colors
    Reasonable price
    Produce more pairs

The last comfortable pairs IMO were the 03 chrome 8, 03 18s, and 03 cement 3, all 2003 :smokin

this year i only purchased one pair of jordans which were the white/infrareds.
after that i chose kobe 9 elite over the baron 9 and now some lebron 11 on sale over the aj 2 white/reds.

i guess slowly i'm losing interest to buy air jordan retros. I originally wanted to give the xx9 a chance but after seeing the outsole and zoom air bags designed similar like the xx8 i don't wanna spend so much money where the shoe does not last long.

I think the zoom air bags won't be as big a problem for the xx9s because they reformatted it in a way that's better for when the foot flexes that won't put too much pressure on the zoom bag making it pop. It could still happen nonetheless but I think they will be much safer to ball in

In all fairness, it's not like JB is offering every OG retro model/colorway in its catalogue "remastered" next year to the public, so to a certain degree I can understand why people are still creating hype on shoes that won't be up to par with the crap that JB will have out next year...but I still agree with everything you stated.

What do you mean true colors. Like true to their original counterpart? Those Columbias look off

This is how this section has been since I joined. I havent gotten a single pair of Js this year and am only looking forward to three. Will prolly only get two of those. If all those rumored IVs are coming back next year then I will be more active

If JB retros the XVI (with premium leather and simple colorways), then I'll have to buy them. 
 
I want some dam quality 18s those CDP were trash and I want the original blue and black and maybe a rightfully done black and red and maybe white n green or black and green
Also want the retro cards back idk why they ever stopped that

This. They were softer and less stiff compared to the newer retros. The leather on the OG's may have been softer, but they were heavy and uncomfortable.
