Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

wait weren't some of you on here a couple years ago talking about JB should make higher quality retros for an increased price anyway? that you were willing to pay if the quality was on point? well, ya got it.

No problem paying a higher price for a better quality shoe...I've always been of this mindset...

My problem is with the previous "price hikes" in recent years for what JB is now, themselves calling a sub-par quality product...For the higher prices they've already been implementing on a regular basis they should've already been doing better, quality wise that is...All I'm looking for is a valid answer as to how they justified said price hikes...

The market. JB/Nike is the number 1 shoe re-seller in the market right now...now I agree with you 100%, but from a business standpoint, JB is super smart...now they have everyone all riled up thinking "we're gonna get wayyyy better quality for a little bit more money, LUCKY US"

That shouldve been done at this price level. At the price they will likely have next year I want nothing less than OG quality everything.

A 6 dollar shoe . What a guy!:nerd:
Right! And these sheep are saying "oh $200+ for the same shoes with better quality is GREAT!!!"

Those of your who are saying I'll gladly pay more for "better quality" when these are the same shoes retroing again, MY POINT EXACTLY!

Agreed! The era that most people refer back to when quality was good was the 99-'01/'02 days. Back then, Jordan III's were $140...You're telling me I now have to pay $60 more to get that quality? Why? The cost of the product has risen? Lies...

It has...I don't think by that much ($60), but it has.

Wasnt there a thread breaking down that the Jordan 1 cost something like $13 to make?

What did they start giving those child laborers benefits?

Still tho. 10 times profit :smh:

Two guys I know....

One plays blackjack but isnt disciplined. He makes some ridiculous bets but he always comes out 100k ahead at the end of the year. He will literally lose a lot of money for weeks straight, then one day you meet him at the casino and he cashes out 40k. Hell well often catch him when he is 20 or so grand up and he will just bet it all instead of calling it a day. He is one of my friends from college buddies. He says he doesnt like have a ridiculous amount of spare cash anyway because he will get in trouble. From the stories I heard about him I believe it. Even with 5k its easy to get into some dumb **** in the Chi.

The guy I just posted plays baccarat. He used to post statuses all the time that was like "made 4,200 out of 300" and show the chips. IDK what he makes a year tho. It aint chump change.

I would be foolish not to learn what they did. Especially since the one who plays blackjack is willing to teach me. I know I'll make smarter bets than him. I have been learning too. Made 700 a few weeks ago but needed to spend it. that was only my third time actually gambling and not just watching/hanging out.
Yup it happens, people aren't smart about it. My uncle plays black jack like a pro always comes up. And casinos like a player who wins shows everyone else its possible comp rooms etc. but at least he was smart about it and played with extra money. Its crazy how some people can get at the tables. I also have friends who bets on sports at different wages 100 - 5k I know n known some winners n losers

. I just play for fun. Its just gambling either way you see it and the best make it into a game and probability. Black jack is easy there tons of books and plenty of places to play, I started yahoo Blackjack. See the movie "21" and go try it at a casino. i wouldn't mind learn how to play baccarat like James Bond.

you guys aren't factoring packaging costs (box, tissue paper, labeling), on top of having to pay people to run the machines that make these things...plus shipping costs, tax costs, fees, legal stuff, royalties, JB still gotta fork money over to Nike, investors...

still expensive as hell though

Gambling is not something I wanna do professionally so it's cool. Just like the two people I was just talking about, this would be on top of my regular salary. The less successful of the two adds 100k to his salary.

I've seen that movie tho. Im getting the technique down

Okay. So $34 a shoe. Which makes these "the price of materials is increasing" excuse even worse considering it is even LESS of a percentage of the total cost.

I actually had some of those kicks. Don't remember quality back then but then again I dont even remember caring. Couldnt get multiple shoes anyway. So I was less picky

I know, I'm just saying. How much fault can JB have, when people are buying at any price really?

I remember when the 22/1 CDP pack went for $99.99

some places even lower than that

now these consumers will buy that same pack at $310 (original price)

JB is at no fault because they are not MAKING people spend money

The only way to "fix" it would be to not buy, but we know that's not gonna happen.

Resellers are starting to suffer (I'm glad), and it's all downhill from here..

P.S. prime example...the LeBron 11 'Champ Pack' is still releasing (separately), in the same exact colorways, and there is no hype on them. Going to sit.

The penny pack with the foams and the lil' pennys had people shelling out $500 for a Foam, they ain't even know it.

$100, 3s didn't see a hike until 2007 when they went to $125

no, but inflation has.. 140 dollars 15 years ago is equivelant to about 196 dollars today..

gas isnt the same price it was in 1999, neither is coke, milk, bread, cars.. etc.. so why would you expect jordans are the same price?

Really? Your comparing gas prices to shoe prices? The things you named are necessities in life and the prices DID NOT increase 50-100 dollars! Lmao @ everybody attempting to justify these outrageous prices for the cardboard Jordan's that have released over the past 7 years and in the future!

Ummmmm... No! But u go right on ahead and spend the equivalent of a monthly bill on a pair of Jordan's! It's not complaining... It's common sense!!!
It is complaining, "aww man they're raising the prices I don't want to spend that much" is a complaint.
Nobody is making you buy the shoes and you don't need them. But if complaint and still buying them makes you feel better then more power to you.
