Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

As for this remaster.. Its pathetic. Cant believe its gotten to this point. I dont want to sound redundant like everyone else. But we SHOULD have been getting this quality for years now. Its crazy how this price hike is being justified. When I bought my Bordeaux 7s I believe the retail was $150. I loveeed the quality on those. Suede was buttery,we actually got metal tips on the laces! So I have to ask.. Whats justifying the $170 retail we are paying now? If anything quality got better..by not much at all! And now they want $200 because "Oh this has even better quality!" Its unbelievable to me. These are shoes that were released in the late 80s early 90s!

Like everyone is saying its everyones fault this is happening. And this is only the beginning. Soon retros will hit $220 just wait on it!

I agree with what you're saying but those 'Bordeaux' VIIs were pure garbage from a quality standpoint. The midsole looked like someone tried handmolding it and the upper was cheap. Try to find the retro+ colourways of the VII that dropped in '07 - far, far better quality.
 
And for $200 we couldn't even get the semi rounded laces? If these pics are legit/ final production, it truly is a slap in the face & a clear showing that JB gives no damns. I think whats really happening now is the true OG collectors are moving on and JB is banking on the newer heads who don't even know, nor care about how the shoes were constructed years ago. Most sneaker heads now a days don't even own retro's from 99 let alone from 03-04. I digress. Slap a new title on retros, up the price, & watch the kids eat it up.

Those columbia 4s are 80 dollar fakes. The sweatshop workers probably just finished up making the fake Spacejams, that's why their is a pic of them in the background. That furthermore proves the point that their is no such thing as "Unauthorized".. It's all fake

the "remastering" concept is disrespectful.


JB should have ALWAYS been using these materials ESPECIALLY since they have been steadily increasing MSRP for the last 5 years

no matter how good the shoes look, I just dont feel comfortable giving JB my money anymore knowing they getting over on you intentionally.

Only way your voice will be heard is with your dollars. I pick up maybe 1-2 JB releases a year now. To be honest NSW has been doing a better job these last couple of years.

Perfect example is this crappy batch of retro XIII's. I hope they sit like the black/yellow XIV's.
Maybe then JB will start doing right by its loyal fanbase.

Just give me a proper black/navy low top XIII and I'll gladly pay for mesh and actual 3M......it's a joke that we have to pay an absorbid amount for a proper retro :smh:

Olympic's nor Charcoal 7's need to be released again next year, hell no it's way too soon

....but black/cement 4's came out the same year and I want those rereleased :smh:

So any ideas when they are releasing Is, IIIs, IVs, Vs, VIs and XIs?

As I wanna get the 2011 BC IIIs on the secondary market now, but will wait for the remastered version if its coming out soon, since it will prolly be cheaper by half and with the supposedly better quality. Same with the XIs concords and breds.

They are not going to retro those anytime soon

So how do you explain the white/cement 3's dropping in 2011 & then again in 2013? Olympic VII's in 2010 (FLOTG) & again in 2012? Hell, you could even look at the countdown pack and then how JB re released some of those same shoes a few years later. It's happened before & will surely happen again. That's kind of the point of the whole "remastering" thing, right?
 
How difficult is it to make the tongue material sit flush with the liner material? It's like after 03 or 04 they just decided it wasn't worth the trouble to have a clean looking tongue and they just started sewing the tongue under the liner and leaving a bunch of material showing.

Yea but all of those shoes you listed were different versions. With this remastering thing I think jb is doing shoes that haven't been retroed yet or that haven't been retroed in a while but it's still to early to tell what they are going to do

Thats what I assumed too. JB knows that those are the bread and butter of the line, no way that they are not gonna release those.

If their recent schemes were any indications, they'll prolly just switch some of the details a bit or change the color a bit and voila, a release for the retro collectors yet different enough for the completist to buy.

Bread and butter? Naah, not really. Those are some loved shoes, but there are numerous other shoes that'd sell just as well, so JB doesn't have to do anything. They've literally got dozens of shoes between the first 13 models that they could release, plus the new retros they come out with every year.

However, I do agree of course that they could very easily re-release the Black Cements next year, or the White Cements, or the True Blues, or anything honestly. There's no real way to tell, as they didn't specify any type of order or logic to what will be re-released. We currently just know they'll be retroing two Jordan 7's, two old 4, one new 4, and a new Jordan 10.
