Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

On a positive note, the tongues on those fake columbias look thick like the 1999 and prior j4 tongues. Hopefully the released pairs will have they feature.
 
i don't mind payn more if the quality is there. and it's about time quality issues are being addressed cuz jb's been $hittn on loyal collectors for awhile now.

Those are not authentic. Those pictures are from a known fake/unauthorized seller on Taobao. Official release will not look like that garbage.

Here is the thing.  I remember back when folks complained about the non-plastic tabs on the side, but folks are okay with the Columbia having the pleather (whatever it is) side tabs?  That isn't really premium quality is it?   Is it because it originally came with those?  What gives?
 
We'll see. If 4s still have netting adhering to the mesh and aren't properly aligned diagonally, then they haven't remastered anything.

You talking about the wings bro? A little confused by your question. If so, yea the columbia's came with leather when originally released. The complaint was how JB switched from using plastic (ie. OG, 99 cement IV's), to now rubber on later models.

The biggest issue (speaking purely on the IV's now) is the horrible execution this model has had in terms of shape & details in comparison to the OG...or even 99. People just want an accurate recreation of an iconic shoe!

They're still ******** on the collector...quality should've been there to begin with. Remastering is just a gimmick to hike the price again.

I'm more concerned with paint chipping on 3's and 4's. The mesh is SUCH A SMALL ISSUE compared to the paint chipping. That ish is a joke.

Doub it. It doesn't really make sense to. AND, every single model they've pictured as remastered are all either new retro+ colorways, or colorways we haven't seen in a LONG time.
 




this guy say he got dem jordan 4 oreos/militaries remastered, he got duped

them ventilation holes, toebox, widows peaks, tag, jordan sign on back, midsole speckling thats what you wanna look for

Don't the '99 columbia 4s have a glitter in the midsole paint? From all of the early pics, it looks like straight up blue with no glitter.

no, one of the colorways is a pair of chicago 10's.. chicago 10s just released in January of 2012.

it doesnt have to make sense.. jb/nike do whatever they want.. they do A LOT of stuff that doesnt make sense..

The Colombia and Oreo ivs were the first retro + colorways for the ivs so them changing to leather tabs and using perforated leather on the upper was a cool change for these specific shoes. People were complaining because samples for military and fire reds were popping up with leather triangles and that's not true to og. It wouldn't make sense to put plastic on the colombias or the Oreos IMO however if they did it really wouldn't matter ala altitude xiii re retro with 3M. It only becomes a major problem when altering og colorways. Leave all the experimentation to new colorways. Don't mess with perfection keep ogs as is.

Oreo iv's were cool cuz they had plastic wings still. I regret selling my pair. Best feeling iv ever. That leather was absolutely top noch and the paint did not crack at all

The columbia iv i was never a fan of because of the leather wings. The leather tabs are cool imo but not the wings. I hope if the retro them they will habe plastic wings instead

Even better would be them finally releasing that sample columbia navy iv instead. That shoe was ill
