Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

You are fodder for the media, due to your thirst for something that you apparently do not need. This is why Matt Powell has a job, to discuss people like you.

Furthermore, I am not a sneakerhead, and I have no interest in shoes that you find to be special, especially not for the reasons that you do. If I have something that you like, then it is completely by accident.
If your not a sneakerhead or furthermore a nike sneakerhead, why are u even here? Just to slander a shoe company? Who are u or this "Matt Powell" to judge anyone else here and how they choose to do with their money what they want? Or tell them what they "need." Newsflash buddy you ain't nobody either. I dont "thirst" for any shoe either. I just buy a shoe that I like. Its as simple as that. Im not a reseller. Im not buying them as an investment. No different than buying a jacket or pants. If u had anything I wanted id just get it somewhere else. So what. Not that I have to or should even be explaing myself to you.

^^^ This dude is in here with that fanboy nonsense now :smh:

You're in your later 20s, claim to be a sneakerhead, and didn't even know the molds for the retro were different.

You got hypebeast written all over your B
The personal rancor reflected in that remark i dont intend to dignify with comment. Now get off me.

It's pretty much spot on to the '94 toe box, it's just still slightly too boxy like every other Jordan mold now:

(Not my picture obviously)

Finally, one remastered mold that I actually like.

You are not listening to what I am saying.

Does Nike want to put out a product that will make it customers happy - OF COURSE.

Does Nike owe their customers, remastered products fixing whatever problem some people have with the shoe - NO THEY DONT.

They do not owe us anything, if they choose to provide those things, then thats the position the brand wants to make to address customer confidence and those other points you made above.  But again, they do not owe you or me nothing
All companies, if they make faulty product, do recalls if their product does not perform safely. They owe you in regard to safety, they owe you in regard to value, they owe you in order to maintain consumer confidence. This why it is said that you speak within an echo chamber, because you fans of these shoes do not speak to the authority, in order to make effective change, one where the company would be forced to change their habit of putting out faulty product.

I am here on Nike talk, just like many others who only participate in General, and then the Sports and Training forums, for discussion, and the discussion includes info for sneakers that are soon releasing.

You didn't think that people only came here to talk about what it is that YOU like, did you?

Matt Powell discusses the pathology of sneaker buyers, sneakerheads,  what sells, and then what might sell.
The sneakerhead “press” has little influence outside the sneakerhead community.  The sneakerhead media is made up everything from very sophisticated, large publishing organizations to guys doing YouTube videos in their Mom’s basement.  All live in fear of offending the brands that they depend on to keep them fed with pictures and information about upcoming releases.  In the sneakerhead press, there is very little original content and frequent cut-and-pasting of content from other sources.  Because the sneakerhead media is unwilling or unable to speak the truth to power, their influence is very limited, except inside the echo chamber that is sneaker culture

What Powell is discussing here, are people like yourself, people who simply do the sheep thing, that follow others into non relevancy.

If you want a true remastered product, you have to voice it in such a manner that Nike will pay attention. However, from the way that YOU speak, Nike/Jordan are going to keep giving it to you, with no grease, in which apparently, is how you like it, due to your responses against what it is that I am stating.

Imagine if more people actually went against a price increase, especially in the manner that Nike/JB is presenting.

I'd like not only a better upper, I'd like more durable cushioning, and the pieces used should be put together just as efficiently as Adidas, Reebok, Asics, New Balance does with their product, at a less insulting price point.

What is so wrong with that?

What the point of posting a pic of those IVs and Xs? Those IVs aren't a recent release and the Xs that Wroten wore were almost 10 years old so he shouldn't have been playing in them  just curious why you picked those pics

I have shoes that are ten years old, and they are still playing well, and did not fall apart. That is a typical apologists response. No shoe should do that.

Idk man if you are playing against guys at that size and putting all that on a shoe that old I don't see the point of wearing them honestly and its not a typical apologists response it ain't that serious bro

What does playing against people of a certain size, have to do with how long a shoe will last? That is nothing but another excuse. Many play outdoors, and indoors in shoes, against some of the best players possible, and that is never an excuse for a shoe to fall apart, unless it is incredibly well worn, or cheaply made.

If the shoes are truly remastered, that should prevent anything like this from happening.

Correcting the flaws of your product, is truly remastering your product.

This; I honestly thought people blew that event out of proportion. They weren't a recent release, and more than likely he's worn them more than a few times over the years, in games of varying length and intensity, as he's in the freaking NBA after all and would therefore be practicing to get to and sustain that level of play; so what's the problem with a pair of shoes that's nearly a decade old finally breaking down, tearing, or wripping in some way? Just how long do people expect some shoes to last? I'd say 10 years for a pair of X's is just fine honestly. Would it be nice if they lasted forever? Of course, but i'm being realistic here. Have a shoe for ten years and you've gotten your money's worth out of it.

Had those been the recent Bobcat or Infrared X's it'd be a different story.
