Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

Let's see what rrally happens in 2015.
Me and most other jordan collectors think they will only improve some details but not bring back original shape etc.
I doubt the 9 retros would have 6 plastic lace loop rows etc.
i dont know if they mentioned anything about changing the shape and whatnot. as of now all we know is they're using better quality materials, thats all

Are we really getting remastered chicago 1's?

Yessir. May if I remember correctly.

They've specifically mentioned creating new molds, and if you have an eye for detail you can see that the mold of all the upcoming VIIs and I's are a bit closer to where they're supposed to be than the current ones.

did not know that, ive seen the pics but haven't paid attention to the molds closely. looked the same to me. and what 1s are u talking about? haven't seen any of those

You guys think these would be sturdier than the current retros?

I'm thinking of buying a pair and ballin' in them

I wanna buy those XX9's, but they're 225. My limit's 150 or 160.

But yeah, I should get modern shoes that's perfect for my budget

I dont know if this has been said but i think a remastered sneaker is a matter of opinion. To me a remaster isnt just about the materials. Those are important but to me more importantly is the shape of the actual shoe and i dont know if this has been talked about yet but i dont get why that doesnt get talked about enough. The shapes of the OGs are higher cut whereas the shapes of Jordans from 2000 and beyond are all mid shapes. This might not be a big deal but i feel like when they say "REMASTERED" this doesnt get talked about. I want higher cut jordans.

These all have higher cuts and sharper slopes. Compare these pics to all the newer versions dropping the past 5 years (thats why i picked these colors) theres a vast difference in slopes and cuts. True the OGs have better materials (perhaps sharper colors i.e. bordeaux 7s or the actual Nike Air) and they were the first run of them but i dont understand given how they dropped the command force this year and it was damn near identical to the 1990 version.

Again i dont know if this has been talked about but i know for sure Nike / JB checks these forums (they troll us plenty of times / team roshe gets all sorts of love) so i believe we need to start up the dialogue about it when we are talking about true "REMASTERS"

Trust me, when the thread was first created people talked about the shape for months.

It is something talked about in this thread, and is something that JB told us they are working on as part of their Remastering program.  Whether we see molds true to OG form remains to be seen I guess.  But there are lots of folks you agree with you on this in here.

eh true to shape is cool but you know what they are and if we only get better quality and they change the shape then we still won some of the battle, they will never look like the OGs because they give OGs that slight edge and difference from everything else.

gonna be honest, i would never like to see JB go back to the OG molds with the 3 and the 4.

i love how people forget that the tongues were disgusting on both, especially the 3. also not a fan of that very thin elephant print.

higher cut on the 4's also looks weird.

if we get 1999 4 shapes and 2001 3's then i'll be good

Yesss. I actually like the '99 IV mold better than the OG to be honest. Although I'm A OG Jordan Head since '88, I mean nuttin compares

to the OG status but I really liked the '99 IV more and also the 2000, or 2001 of the NA V's more. Can't really rememerrr the exact year the

first Retro of the NA V released. I still have my BC III NA's, '99 NA White Cmnt NA IV's, NA Metallic V's, White fire red NA V's that I got for $99

and 2001 NA Black Infrared VI's. Ther all still VNDS but I wish I would've never wore em. But then again If I would've wore em They would've just crumbled by now.
