that's what I was thinking lol. whoever posted that the 2003 were superior doesn't know what they are talking about. all I've heard is that the 2003 was highly uncomfortable for some people. the originals look amazing to me. I like the 2003 looks as well but they don't look superior to the OGs dude was smoking crack

xiis are my favorite Js. i've had two OGs, multiple 2003-2004 releases and 2009-2012 retros. as far as durability goes the 2003 is similar to the OG in terms of outsole and midsole. I wore them indoor & outdoor for basketball till 2010 and casually used them till last year i sold them. the leather weren't as good, but they were still soft and still very padded. The added bonus of the 2003 was that at that time Nike started changing the shape of the collar that goes around your achillies to make them more comfortable to some. the 2009 and on has less padding in the collars and uses even worst leather. the built quality wasn't bad on the 12' taxis, but the material sucked. i've never had issue with the 12's padding for the tongue that digs into my ankle when playing in them until these 2012 taxis, the lack of padding at the top of the tongue caused the sewn line to dig in. The OGs i wore them till the zoom gave out and donated them.

I had the White/Red XIIs when they released in '09, and the Original Playoffs in '12.

I agree that the materials don't compare and the shape doesn't look as good, but I will give the retros a nod in terms of weight; the Playoffs were heavy as hell to move around in.
 
I have three pairs of the 4's. if this is what the quality of the remastered will look like...its not worth the extra money.

My 03 Nubucks and Flints were more comfortable than my OG Taxi's. Not even close. My Taxi's were far more durable, however...

I bought 3. One for my brother and the other for my brother in law. The point of my message was Ive had some time to see the quality from different pairs from different store, one being a boutique. 

They look good on feet, but then again all 4's do... overall i dont see much difference in the quality other then some softer padding around the ankle.

I get we all have our opinions, but you cant say you don't notice the leather is much softer. 
 
Yeah, no way anyone can say the Columbia's are the same as the Fire Reds or Military Blues. :smh:
