Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

Very nice comparison pics, and great to get some insight into why the new VII's look funky. When I look at new pairs I can see the whole toe area looks off, but it was hard to see what had changed. Definitely looks like JB has been narrowing the whole tongue and pinching the toe-box together

They have been making the VII like this since at least '06. And the upcoming French Blues don't give me much hope for the Bordeauxs. Pass again. And those are my favorite Jordans.

They haven't done ay of the retro 7 like the OGs as far as shape. All retros changed shape but the 7 was the most noticeable and annoying.

Honestly, I'm most scared about the retros who originally had great suedes(nubuck and durabuck) like the Original Black Metallic V's, Infrared 6s, Charcoal 7s and Playoff 8s. I fear that if they are "remastered" they are going to be the same crap we've been getting.

For starters, the Black Metallic V and Infrared VII had an embossed Durabuck leather on the heel as shown below

OG P.E.

OG

The 2000 retros featured similar looks on the heel but in with the retros after they said **** it.

Additionally, each pair of OG Air Jordan 7 featured an either two tone upper or an upper with two different grains of materials. Contrary to many people's beliefs, the OG Charcoal 7 did not just feature a all black durubuck upper but rather a durubuck and nubuck mix as shown below.

If you look closely at the 7 you'll notice a "M" and a "J" (although with the right shoe pictured it spells J and M)on the upper in nubuck while the rest of the shoe and the "7" at the color is black durubuck.

Lastly on the playoff 8's the OG followed behind the 7 and did not go with the monochromatic look on the upper. The OGs and 2007s had what looked like crackled nubuck on the upper and toe as seen below.

I say all this because JB releasing ALL BLACK versions of each these shoes( 5s in 2007 and 2011; 6s in 2010 and 2014; 7s in 2012 and 8s in 2013) or just retros that had such great details such as these scares me for the remaster and is causing me to believe its all BS. They have not announced they are going to remaster almost any suede shoes and I think there is a reason for all of that. The Bordeauxs and Aquas are an exception because they didn't have little details like the shoes above. I feel like JB might try to hustle us and give us some BS that lacked the original details AGAIN.

I disagree, 4s take the cake. Until they change that netting. 7s a close second IMO.

Yeah the 4s take the cake in my opinion.

-But dudes need to realize, the early 2000s retros still are a little off but at least it looked like JB tried.

I see it like this: If a perfect replication of the OG were an A+, The early 2000s retros would be like a B.

For a while JB was giving "D" quality work, and now they're raising the bar to "C-" quality with the remasterd pairs.

Their molds and quality from the '94, '99, and early 2k retros were almost on point with the OG's. What the heck happened Nike?

they are deceiving the consumer and squeezing every dollar out of them thats what happening now

its the same what the dope dealers do by cutting their dope and lying to their junkies that is uncut

dope dealer = JB

junkie = consumer
