It's a huge challenge to have people boycott JB, but people with enough social media influence can make them at least notice the message. It would be great just for them to know we are educated consumers.
Doing both together would def work. If #BoycottJordanBrand us trending world wide and they don't sell on pair of the OG retros or the Black Friday and Christmas release they will def make some changes.
I now believe that JB is holding out on us for longevity reasons. If they gave us what we want like the Nike air and original shape/materials, they wouldn't have a reason to keep releasing shoes. Just look at what they did with the Chicago 1s. They were the only 1 OG in 2013 with no NA. Now they are coming out again for more money after we already paid a big price for them. I bet that's why they released the infrared pack with varsity red, the White and Black 2s with that black line, and the cement 4s with that tech Grey.
JB is a pitiful company that is just trying to last.

It makes me sick that they try to get us to believe they would just destroy the original molds. if that were true then how do they make all the shoes for those special collections they be doing? most of those look a hell of a lot closer to OGs than what we've been getting year in and year out. If they could get all of these pretty close to OG why can't they do it now? answer that JB. those 10s even have a toe cap

exactly. the toe was ever so slightly less elven looking which was nice, but I could tell right away they were still way off. and the ankle cut is still a huge tragedyjust taking a look at those 2015 columbia ivs man they still have that banana shape toe box. "remastered" to jb = remastered ways to increase profits by cheapening the materials, using off colors, making shoes more hollow, removing extra stuff like retro cards, pamphlets, omitting nike air from jordans as much as possible (unless a miracle happens), and of course f ing the overall shape of the retros since 2004/5/6/7 to present.
it really seems the shape and overall shoe is continuing in a cheaper looking trend (unless a miracle happens)

This thread just got me feeling some type of way...they are charging damn near 2 bills after taxes for some shoes. Most of you guys have jobs but a lot of kids (middle schoolers and highschoolers) who aren't employed, and lets be honest that makes up I bet at least 50% of the buyers are begging their parent(s) to purchase these shoes. These kids just don't understand the value of money and how hard some of their rents work but they get them anyways out of love. When I was growing up I'd be slapped for asking for some 200 dollar shoes from my rents. For the price they are charging, you'd expect JB to own up to what they said about being true to the OG molds, quality and leather but in reality it's just a gimmick, publicity stunt, marketing ploy whatever you want to call it...the worst part is that the inconsistencies are glaringly obvious and almost looks like no effort was made and I think that's what is making alot of sneakerheads upset. This is a multibillion dollar company you think they don't have the technology to make an identical replica of originals? It's a disgrace and a slap in the face to us sneakerheads too, nobody likes being lied to and I promise the rate they are going it's not sustainable.

Just curious why you thought that? One look at a pic of the og's and you should have known better.
It's a shame that JB's propaganda machine claimed so many victims. But at least they're seeing the light now...

They need to scale down. The need to keep pumping out a retro every single month to me is unnecessary. They're being produced at such a rapid pace that it looks like they just slapped something together, then onto the next release. If cutting corners on mass producing a product which still ends up selling out, why change anything? In all honesty, if they truly wanted to replicate any shoe in its original form, they would.

I thought that because the leather seemed better than my 4s from recent years but by comparing them right next to the OGs you can actually tell the difference within the toe box area, the wing on the ankle area and the overall navy color isn't even the same which imo isn't even that hard to replicate to the originals.

Just my opinion. I like the OG shape as well but I prefer the new shape. 95% of JB's customers probably don't care about the shape or have never seen the OGs which is why JB "remastered" the series without changing the shape.

Your logic is wrong. This is a forum about sneakers. You have absolutely no idea what anyone in this or any other thread cares about outside of NT. I bet many people here are socially conscious and aware/ sensitive to current domestic and international affairs. You're trying to guilt trip people and shift their attention from what this thread and the website is about.
Additionally we have every right to want some change from company that thrives off everyone's hundreds of dollars spent by each customer every year.
