Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

I don't give my money to jb..I enjoy the hunt for older stuff still in tact

Leave the beast games for the boys
Feels. I knew some **** was up when the '88s released so I went on a wild hunch and sold all my JB pairs. Literally everything, '03 Flu Games, '01 Columbias, '08 Hares, and a couple more "gems" for a very, I mean very small profit lol. All in hopes that the '88s were a sign that JB would retro more models with NA. Plus I wasn't putting the majority of my kicks to use so I was like, **** it. Thank goodness I was right, even though before this remastering news I was waking up every morning thinking I ****** up BAD, telling my "You are the biggest idiot of the decade, and we just 3 years in".

Two lessons learned, JB is extra shady for this **** they're pulling, and only buy what I need instead of having shoes rotting in my closet with no purpose except for reminding me that I spent that kinda money for no reason just because I like them.

Patience is a virtue. It is said over and over, but very few practice what they preach.

lulz at selling your kicks because of nike air on sneakers and what possibly is to come.

Love seeing you older NTers drop in...my join date is 2007 and I sometimes feel like a dinosaur.

I agree with almost everything in this post except for the '04 Olympic VII's...I think that retro was far superior to the later "FTLOG" retro. I have had the FTLOG retro in hand, but I've never owned them. I do, however own the '04 Oly VII...Maybe my opinion is bias, but I do remember feeling like the FTLOG was a step down from the '04.

The 04 Olympic VII retro fit terribly. I still vividly remember the day they dropped. It was my sisters engagement party and me and my boy went to scoop. We had to return to the mall three times because of sizing problems. An 11.5 way to tight and a 12 way to big? How does that happen? And on three different pairs for two people with different size feet (my boy wears a 10 and 10 and 10.5 were both seriously off). As for the First crop of Jordan XIII retros I wasn't really impressed. People say their great quality but that's in comparison to now which doesn't say much. The flint xiii in particular had some nasty glue that was prone to bursting out of every seam of the midsole, all of them had a super long tongue and the comfort was not even close to the OG. In particular I found the first altitude green XIII to have minimal cushioning.

as long as leather's clean and midsole doesn't chip (smh at thunder 4's) i'm sold.

i previously stated that i would pay more for better quality. gonna wait to hold a pair so i can determine if this is bs or not.

If they came out with some remastered 18s like the og and not like that terrible CDP ill b a happy jb fan again

They better be higher quality because I feel like the price increase will be pretty decent. Then when you look at the resell market after striking out...it'll be too high.

So what I'm getting is jb is taking a note from what nike does with the Air Force one
And has different price points for their gr, premium, and supreme versions :smh:

I have no clue. I don't think they'll be 300 here in the US but that gives you an idea of how they really are bringing the prices up a lot

A lot of complaints about quality control, which isn't what JB is saying they're improving.

My 04's fit fine as TTS

I can't speak for the FTLOG Olympics but the 04 Olympics have much better quality than the 12. For example the gold stitching was a gold shiny metallic thread. The shoe string tips were a metallic gold too. The 2012 stitching is just a bronze/gold like thread. It's not metallic looking. The same goes for the shoe string tips. Also the 12 leather is clearly synthetic. It may withstand deep creasing but it easily scratches. I tripped over a curbed and scratched the hell out of them. Thank god for Angelus. I've put the 04 Olympics in the washing machine and they barely even creased. They are extremely durable. I need to restore them but just haven't found time. Checkout out my instagram for pics of them.

Yeah, My 04 Olympics are fine and superior to the FTLOG's which were better than the 2012.

What people are failing to realize is that a lot of shoes do have good quality but JB has noticed that an extreme amount doesn't, which is why so many B grades hit outlets. All of those are shoes that didn't pass inspections. This "remastering" is more of a manufacturing philosophy change that should increase quality due to better materials and build techniques. So their business process is in place. For example the shoes that they are targeting for 2015 have been the absolute worse quality issues...especially the Xs. Hopefully they will execute their process successfully but anyone in here that works in corporate America knows that new business philosophies take time to perfect. The first shoe release within this new process might not be as good as we expect.

Actually less B-grades hit outlets now. It seems like JB has lessened their quality standards, because people are going to buy them anyway and THEN complain. Those kicks hitting outlets aren't b grades. They're still charging $149, which gives Nike a higher profit margin than from FNL or FTL.

Jordan's cost more overseas, you guys aren't that smart huh

nobody thought to check how much Jordan's cost in British Pounds now compared to what they cost over here, they're probably 250 over there already

Jordan himself said he wants the brand to become a luxury one, so expect $400 sneakers in two years and $500 in four. I'm sure he and Nike don't enjoy having people shoot each other at releases, it makes the brand and company look bad.

That's why I said I don't see them costing 300 over here in the US...I just said that shows how they're just bringing the prices up a good amount.

They cost 135 pounds overseas, so a 50 pound increase is equivalent to 85.77 US dollars. Once again I'm not saying that's how much they're going to increase in the US...just giving an idea of how prices are going to rise up

I'm sure that statement is taken dangerously out of context

Next year the retro's will be near $200, what's another $100 price bump the year after? They know people will pay and they will. The higher the price the lower amount of less than desirable customers wearing your brand.
