Just went from having the 1.5 high-bald fade for the last 6 years to the combover. Working on developing my technique...I think ultimately I want to take comb it back...potentially even with a mini pony-tail to go with it; does anyone know if I will have to grow the back of my head at all for that...I still do a bald fade all around.

I'm going to look into this American Crew business too.

Warning lots of pics ahead(bathroom getting redone this month please take it easy on it lol)  Also haven't been to my barber in a month so I am aware of the areas that need work.
Ok so for my type of hair which is thick here are my steps.
1. Wash that ish.

2. Step 2 dry it completely if going traditional pomade and want that nice hold or leave it damp for water based pomps its up to you.

3.Choose your flavor

4.  Apply a dime size coat of pomade into palm and warm it up,spread it throughout your hand and finally apply it all over your hair.  For me I have to do this three times because of the length and thickness of my hair.  If you want a nice quiff, high pomp less is more.  The more pomade you apply the heavier it will be on your hair thus getting a smaller pomp as I have.  Also after you run the pomade through your hair get the comb and try to slick your hair back in order to spread the pomade throughout areas you might have missed.

5. Finally part your hair whichever side it naturally flows and mold your ideal pomp.

Appreciate the step by step.

I have kinda been digging the euro cut for a while, tried it last summer and it was alright. I would try more stuff but my girlfriend hates it lol.

So gearing up for World Cup time I wanted to try to throw a part (I don't know the actual technical term) in it this go around.
This is what I'm rocking with for now.

But I don't think I can pull that look off

Looks clean accept for the line up on the part. Ask your barber to use an outliner machine. Looks like he hit you with the regular clippers for that line up.

Working the undercut right now. Will post pics later. Had a combover for over a year and now it's become the new faux hawk. Played out.

They fit slimmer, just a little but slimmer than the photographer fit....IMO both equally cheap made, but a quick fix if you looking for a suit, chances are everyone will love it, we looked great as a wedding party in them

Slimmer than photographers? Damn... that's no bueno then.

I'm not built for that look. My body is more the producer fit.

My dude steezy.

Appreciate the advice. Funny thing is, my buddy cut it and he definitely just used clippers. I thought he did a good job.

Regarding the part being wide...It basically came to improvisation when we decided to do it how it is. I have a scar on the bottom of that part and the angle was just a touch off. Rolled with it and told him to just make it into a bit of a point and I think it turned out good. I don't think it looks super wide but is wide enough for it to be noticeable.
