modern men haircuts..

the black guy haircut thread has a challenger

The 360wave thread will forever be king :smokin

Naw, but its dope seeing different hairstyles. I low-key have always wanted to go to barber school and open my own shop so hair intrigues me. Whether its coarse, thick, thin, curly, straight, etc etc. It all look dope to me so this thread is :smokin

I'm black and I can't do any of this with my hair, but if I wasn't and had a different texture, I'd def try to pull this off

I agree :pimp:

Beckham and Ewen McGregor have the best hairstyles.

I saw farnsworth bentley rocking a sort of pompadour, sidepart haircut a few years back. Looked cool.

what kind of shampoo/conditioning products do you guys use to soften your hair?

i have thick/dry asian hair and its hard to pat down the back and sides when im trying to do a comb over hair style. ive been conditioning constantly and only shampoo once every 2-3 days in order to allow for natural oils to soften the hair but i need some recommendations on products for hair health

I have thick hair and dry hair (indian hair). I use Dr Bronner's peppermint pump soap + the citrus conditioner rinse. Works out pretty well for me. I feel like it doesn't strip my hair of the natural oils and so it doesn't get super dry.

Looks like a modern mullet. Just grow out your hair and trim the sides.

That man bun is :x

I don't know why I feel like it's so effiminate... Maybe cuz the fashion style associated with it is so weak. o well u dudes doin it up! Lookin good.

I live in NY and have seen the man bun hairstyle and the top ponytail with the sides and back shaved more than I ever have before when I go to the city. I think it definitely looks cooler than everyone combing their hair to the side.

Anyway, these products are what I currently use. Been growing my hair for 8 months now, I usually just comb it all back jax teller style. It's getting more difficult to keep all of it in place.

which one has better hold? suavecito or layrite?

I feel like they have the same amount of hold. It's a little tougher to comb my hair when Suavecito is in it though. I think i'm addicted to the scent of it too. Smells kinda like rootbeer to me while Layrite has a subtle vanilla smell.

Clean, that's how my hair would look without the artificial part. it's basically the same exact length all around except for right above the sideburns.

I would need to get a faded at a 1/2 at the bottom rather than a 1, doe. This is borderline, skin-tight right above the sideburns. Impossible to part your hair with how short it is where the part should be.
Still sticking with the artificial part for now  :smokin

Looks good on me. Or so I'm told.

artificial part?

damn I can't believe I missed this thread. Switched from the fauxhawk last summer to combover type hair. It's been working for me though its still not exactly how I want it.

i.wonder why male baldness hasnt gotten.to guys like brady and beckham

tom brady? Wasn't it last year that there were pics of him walking out of a hair loss treatment place? Dude doesn't really get nice haircuts anyway.

Beckham has good hair genes I guess.

Jeff Bridges has awesome hair and he's 65.

I feel bad for people my age who are already going bald or have thinning hair. I shaved my head bald a few times but that wouldn't look right on me now.

Not sure. Genese is one thing, but male baldness is a natural reaction of hormonal changes. Unless there really is a gene thing.

all the men in my family still has a full head of hair. I hope to continue the trend

28 b... After 28 years with a full head of hair I started to thin. Truly after I hit 25 and still had it all in tact I thought I would never have to worry about it.

I'm 29. My dad's 60 and still has all his hair. I have uncles in their 70s and they have full hair too. My grandpa on my mom's side was losing his hair though.

Hair loss is a trait from your mother's side of genetics

Info has been posted before that questions that. I just read an article that says you can inherit it from either parent. Seems like doctors still aren't 100% sure.
