modern men haircuts..

my beard is losing hair... apparently my dermatologist says my body is attacking my hair follicles... they injected my face 18 times with something... hopefully it recovers. 

at least my hair up top is blessed still. 

but its so wavy that its difficult for it to do what i want it to. all those modern men hair cuts seem to be for straight hair folks. Anyone else manage to get wavy hair to chill? Straightning it daily isn't ideal
 
I'm completely shaved right now.... how long will it take to grow out my hair to be like Brad Pitt's in Fury?
 
I don't know, I always saved down 1 to 0 every couple of weeks.

lol. hair growth is depwndent on many things. go.googlw it. dont come out assuming you can grow a foot in a minth though. hair texture, hormones and many factors affect growth.speed
 
What kind of haircuts do you NTers with thick hair get?

I have that really thick hispanic hair and I can't ever really do much with it.
 
Well it's been just over 2 weeks and my hairs grown about an inch. Is this a fast rate? (I was shaved at zero)
 
just bought myself a hair clipper set. bout to start cutting my own hair. anybody here cuts their own hair? got any tips, advice, etc?

1. go watch some youtube vids on self haircuts

2. go buy or make your own self cut system

3. be patient but dont be scared to f up

4. practice makes perfect

#3 on the sides, nice and high, a little bit of a natural part, keep the top growing. During the warmer months I go with a #2 on the sides. To avoid the undercut look on the end of the combover I'll have the stylist cut that side shorter, so it ends nice and evenly on the other side, and doesn't go too far down the other side of my head. Not a great pic, but a recent pic - taken Sunday.

Scooped a new pomade last cut, can't remember the name (will edit with info).
 
do you have a picture of the combover side? i'm having trouble figuring out what to do with mine.
 
My hairline started receding a few years ago and I was really self conscious about it...

Just decided to let go and grow it out and it looks pretty good.

We'll all eventually receed. I've come to accept it and be comfortable with my hairline. Don't let it bother you too much.

I'm lucky, I have too much hairline. There's a spot on the left temple though that isn't as full as it used to be.
 
Thinking about growing it out into this. Low fade with scissors on top. I think it looks clean and different than the typical undercut everyone's been getting lately. What do you guys think?

That's similar to the haircut I get when my hair is short. I slick my hair back though. Conservative steez.
