modern men haircuts..

Not everyone, just the people who like trendy haircuts. For something to be trendy it has to reach a certain level of popularity anyway. Most of my friends have been rocking the same short haircuts since high school.
True dat

I think i'm going to cut my own hair for a while. Not happy with the work from my barbershop anymore.

Does anyone know if Vegas that has a salon like that? Tired of going to Barbers that only how to do fades

I guess there's pros and cons like everything else. Barbers fade better, salons style better. The fade and blending in that vid was kinda sloppy imo.

You're completely right! But at the same time, fades are easy! I mean, I do my own fades from time to time if I see minor imperfections from the Barber.

But finding someone that knows how to treat, condition and style your hair is the problem.

Right now I been rocking the Brad Pitt "Fury" haircut. Been wanting the Ronaldo haircut without the lining part for awhile though.

@HAWAII 5O  I cut my own hair too. Been doing this for 10+ years. I'm decent with the clippers fading and blending my own hair. But when it's time to cut the top with scissors..forget it lulz.

Yeah same.... I'm pretty good with shadow fades on myself... but trying to fade others? :smh: No bueno.

Rocking the Ronaldo as well. I love it. Only problem I'm having is that it's not a haircut the looks good 1-2 weeks after the cut. for my hair type, it grows in weird. So I have to get it cut every 2 weeks

I find it odd, everyone looks the same now. Not hating just an observation. What's not played out now a days? But still.

I'm grad 2000 for high school. A high school friend of mine has had his undercut ever since. Of course, he slicks his hair back instead of aide parting it (most of NT from that era prolly had the same hair style). I find it interesting how having an undercut came back for the last few years, and that my friend had an outdated haircut for over a decade, then looking to be on top of the trend all of a sudden.

I read the reviews that Suavecito holds way better in humid / hot weather than Layrite which is the other brand I use. I ran out of Suavecito so have been using Layrite and it definitely hasn't been holding my hair in place this summer.

Undercuts look ok the first week, when it starts growing back it looks dumb. Basically mushroom / penis looking haircuts people had in middle school. Definitely a hairstyle that needs the use of product too.

I agree but even the standard suavecito "melts" in the summer for me. Firm is the only one I can use since my hair is so stubborn

Which is crazy since suavecito was formulated after layrite

Yeah, I only buy the strong holds of pomade too. My hair sticks up often and doesn't wanna stay down so I need strong stuff. Been wanting to try the blind barber strong hold stuff but it's expensive for only a little amount.

Been rocking something similar to this. My barber hates it because of the hard fade line haha, goes against what he does but it is different from what most people walking around have
This looks dope, but i aint got a beard and i dont think it'll look right without it lulz.

i use this:

cause i like the matte finish. But the hold in the summer time is no go. Is there a matte finish for Suavecito?

Not that I'm aware of. Just is straight Shiny. Think of it as a "clean" grease. Joint washes out easily with water

layrite has a matte finish called cement.. try hand de fuko claymation though

Beard definitely sets it off, but I am clean shaven for summer and still looks great, nice and cool too :pimp:

Suavacito and Layrite are nothing more than gels, and they're horrible for your hair. Dries your hair so bad.

I was browsing YouTube and saw this:

I'd like hair like that. What do I tell my mom to get a cut like that.
Does anyone have any experience getting their beard trimmed at a salon? Looking to give this kind of a cut a try but I feel like anything to do with a beard should be done by a barber.

why go to a salon in the first place? Find a good barber who can do EVERYTHING.

Agreed..It's the only thing I use...I only use the Firm hold though..I sweat easy and the Regular tens to fail me after a couple hours..

Probably good to find someone at the salon who cuts men's hair often and is used to cleaning up beards. If the person is good with scissors then trimming the beard should be no problem.

How often you guys getting cut?

I'm on a two week cycle smh. Thick Asian hair. It literally grows straight out on the sides

They're all the same. Short on the sides, a little off the top. Copy/Paste.

I used to cut my own hair to clean up the sides but my hair is really thick and I need to get it thinned out every so often to take care of the weight
