Everyone has scored that one pair that you know should've cost you more. What are some of your greatest sneaker steals of all time?

I remember when I was a junior in highschool, I straight stole (not literally
glasses.gif
) this pair of Cool Grey XI from a neighbor of mine. He was a couple years younger than me and didn't really understand how clean the kicks on his feet really were. I traded this dude some beat up T-Macs, an And-1 outdoor super grip basketball, and some beat up skateboard trucks I had laying around for his VNDS Cool Grey XIs. I felt bad for a minute, but his family was rollin' in money anways.

Lemme hear some of NT's sneaker bandit stories, I know you guys got 'em.

Stumbled upon a hidden sports authority a few years back that had almost every retro from 2005-2009. Mind you all these shoes were selling out at the local malls... People just didn't know about it really, and the people who did weren't buying retros.

Copped so many Jordan's there on sale it wasn't even funny. The shoes were in their boxes sitting on clearance racks in the back.
I started buying em all up a few pairs at a time & flipping em. Cleaned out the racks, and asked so many questions over a months time about inventory and sizes, that they escorted me into the room where they kept the shoes so I can pick exactly what I wanted off the shelves every time I came in.

Made so much flipping shoes over a few months time, and acquired a lot of pairs for free. The best part about it, was these shoes had been sitting so I never payed more than $99.99 for any pair, when most actually costed me 79.99. Just to name a few....

Metallic, fire red, green bean, stealth blue AJ5
Cardinal, citrus, chambray AJ7
ALL the AJ14s that came out back then, and I mean ALL of them.
ALL AJ3's (no LS pairs, just GR)

All in all, I bought at least 75 - 100 pairs. Flipped all multiples, and kept 1 of everything that was in my size, except for metallic 5 which I kept 2. It was my go-to spot for years, then they all of a sudden stop receiving Retros. It was a nice come up tho.

In 05 I brought the Golden Rods and silver surfer dunks for $59.99 each while travelling through Dubai. They were sitting on the clearance rack :lol:

Wow. At that many pairs how much profit did you net?

For shoes, not sure if SB Dunks at clearance prices of $30 or so count. This was before the hype started. Supa Dunks were on sale and sat for a while.
 
I actuallly kinda have the opposite of a steal, so I guess it's an L.

Returned the Calypso Roshes for retail (70-80 bucks) to Nike.com when they first released in Spring 2012 because I thought they fit me like swimming shoes.

I took the L because a few months later they were going for like $300+ on Ebay.

07 royal foams for retail worn once
bday lebrons ivs for 130
zen yeezys for 300 which was a rip off when i got em but now i guess it's a steal
grape v's 06 for like 200 ds which is like jb's retail price now
i got the OG xii and xiii for less than retail of the current pairs but they are a pain to take care of smh

Found a pair of 2001 Black/Red Jordan 11s in a Goodwill last week. They're worn, but cleaned up nice. I'm going to sell them and put the money in the bank. I don't even care any more. A handful of years ago I would have been ecstatic.

Also have a pair of Urawa Air Max 1s I found in a thrift store this past winter. Need to sell them too.

I've been an avid thrift shopper for years and have had tons of stuff pass through my hands. Air Force 1 Hong Kong, Air Force 1 Linen, OG Black/Red 13s, OG Shadow 10s, too many. I always sold the stuff because it wasn't my size, but you'd be surprised what you can find for around $10 a pair in a thrift store.

Copper foams for like 180 (took advantage of this kid that needed to buy books for his class ) cleanest icy pair I ever had .
Royal foams for 180 also dude needed to pay for a ticket .
Nike Sb sea crystal mid & nike Sb Thai temple for 165$ both DS from this eBay seller .
