OFFICIAL HALO MASTER PATCH COLLECTION, VOL: sign up for a patch beta! No really....

If I remeber correctly they did some major changes to reach before it truly died. Things like no more radical bloom and stuff. Maybe that's why it seems better?

Reach isn't a BAD game per say, it's just a horrible halo. Just like halo 4 is actually an ok game, but is just a beyond meh halo if that makes sense. I'd take h4 over destiny any and every day of the week with that said

Agreed. And I actually really like Destiny too. But, just nothing compares to Halo in my opinion. The core gameplay is just unmatched in my opinion. Also, I've loved every single Halo including 4 and Reach.

Yeah TU Reach has 80% bloom, melees after shots can kill instead of just making the guy one shot, and a couple other things. There were almost 15K people on when I got on last night, IDK how true that 70k thing was but thats still way more than H3.

I wish they would have done the same thing with H3; make it free and taken the DLC requirements off of a lot of the playlists or just make the maps free. No reason to keep trying to make money off a 7 year old game.

I'd still rather play H3 even with all the cheating and the nonsense thats going on right now. Still too many things about Reach and 4 that annoy

Gotta be like 40 maps.

List of maps that will be included in the Team Slayer playlist at launch. Rumor has it that the initial launch will contain more Cross Game playlists as opposed to Game Specific Playlists (as in a H2 only Playlist, H3 only, etc etc etc). I can see why they'd start off that way, its one of the main things they were pushing, but cross game playlists arent going to be good for anyone who hasnt played all the games.

I'm hoping each game has its own generic Team Slayer, Team Doubles, Big Team playlist, OBJ, FFA, and hopefully a Team Hardcore one at launch and then eventually bring in things like Snipers and SWAT later in that rotational playlist spot.

I never played CE with people like that cause no XBL and what not, and I'd rather deal with the cesspool that is H4 multiplayer as little as possible, even though I doubt anyone would ever vote for a H4 map in the pregame lobby.

They'll never be able to please everybody with the playlists though, if they tried they would have to make like 50 playlists

Man I can't wait!!!

Halo 1 online we had to go through XB Connect I think it was called. Hook the Xbox up to the computer or something, too long ago to remember exactly lol but the joy of playing against people online was crazy.

Yeah thats what it was called. Never tried it myself, but I heard it was hit or miss in terms of how good the connection was.

MCC is shutting it down foreal. The amount of content is pooping on all of the new games combined.

I don't know about combining all of the games in one playlist.

None of them play the same so to say.

Well speaking from H2 to H3.

In H2 where you shoot at with your reticle is where the bullets register whereas with H3 you have to lead your shots.

I thought Reach was a good game just the bloom and armor abilities made it :x

I hope they remove running or sprint or whatever it's called because it's easy for someone to get away if they're one shot.

I hated that crap in Reach and H4.

Doubt they'll do so for H5 though.

Man I hope there is DLC for this where they remake more maps and then eventually do H3.

Even though many swear by H2 I think H3 is where it's at and where I will spend most of my time playing.

I'm just wondering how it will feel with a XB1 controller now and if there is still going to be modding and cheating going on.

:x @ combining them all in one playlist..they better just let me play h2 when i want

And there in lies the problem with the mixed bag playlists, that one difference makes both games play completely different, then you add CE to the mix where the BR doesnt even exist and you die in three pistol shots.

Sprint in Halo needs to die and never come back.

It took me a while to get used to leading my shots too, when I first started playing H3 I would never lead regardless of distance.

H2 online you had to lead your shot like crazy bro
Nah Putting in Work is right. H2 had hitscan so where ever you shot the bullet connected instantly whereas most guns in Halo 3 were projectile based so you were supposed to lead your shot if you were shooting from far away. The closest thing to it in H3 was the Laser.

For the record Projectile>Hitscan in the amount of skill it takes IMO, hitscan is madness and it was one of my main issues with Reach. The DMR was hitscan and had the range of the sniper, it made map movement a chore.

Hitscan also makes everyone a God with snipe. It was way too easy to use in H2 and Reach.

In Halo 2 I didnt mind it because it was all I knew, but once H3 came out and I started to feel the difference I much preferred projectile shooting. If H3 didnt have all those coding issues that cause bullets to just flat out disappear when you shoot them it would be flawless

Now that Halo is going to have dedicated servers as opposed to P2P I hope they go with a projectile BR in Halo 5

:x  @ combining them all in one playlist..they better just let me play h2 when i want
Yeah they still have those.

No, you did need to lead online in halo 2. That's not even debatable. Why do you think people battled for host?

Bruh, I played the game till it was taken down. Don't lead with the BR and snipe online without host and it'll miss once they're at a distance. People forced host for this reason.

Sweep sniping is a good example of taking advantage of the system online. Lead, shoot, and literally almost pull the bullet across the head

Edit. Will address later when all my source material isn't blocked at work.

I never got to play H2 online, but I remember when H3 came out I was watching a MLG match and they were talking about the leading the shots part and other differences.

They reason they were mentioning it was because the developers themselves said they made that change for distance shooting and mostly because they were talking about Final Boss most noteably Walshy falling from grace due to the changes they made with leading your shots from H2 to H3 and other button glitches that made Walshy the dominant H2 player but he was buns in H3.

In h2 (online of course) once you reach a certain distance if you don't lead you'll never hit, zoomed in on not IF you don't have host. If you did have host you DID have to lead but definately not to the amount you would have to if not. In H3 you had to lead no matter what to a certain degree. Aiming in H3 is harder than h2 for sure but H2 wasn't a walk in the park either. The auto aim (slowing down the radical when on a target) happens much more drastic on H2 which also makes the aiming easier
Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen inquiries from those of you who want to see and hear about Halo: Combat Evolved within Halo: The Master Chief Collection. While we don’t have footage just yet (that is on the way, friends), we’ve got some in-game screenshots from Halo: Combat Evolved running on Xbox One, made them into fancy wallpapers, and also answered a few frequently asked questions. Should you have more questions about Halo: CE (or any of the other games contained within The Master Chief Collection), be sure to leave them in the discuss link or shoot ‘em over to me onTwitter.
Halo: CE FAQ
Q: Which custom game options will be available in Halo: CE within The Master Chief Collection?
A: All of the game types and custom game type options you remember from Halo: CE will be available in the custom games menu.

Q: Will Halo: CE Matchmaking include radar?
A: As is the case with all games within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we will have a variety of experiences in Matchmaking that cater to a variety of playstyles. For example, you’ll be able to find Halo: CE games with radar enabled and disabled (in separate playlists).

Q: Will the PC exclusive Halo: CE maps be available for both custom games and Matchmaking?
A: Yes. The maps that were exclusive to PC for Halo: CE (and Halo 2) will be available in both custom games and Matchmaking.

Q: Will the PC weapons be available in Halo: CE?
A: You’ll be able to select your weapon set in Halo: CE from a brand new list of weapon sets, including “classic,” which will not include the Flamethrower or Fuel Rod Gun.

Q: Can we see screenshots from Halo: CE?
A: Yes.

I will say that they cleaned up CE nicely

Frank O'connor just said this

We absolutely cannot make everyone happy, that's not realistic, but this package, this functionality at this price might get more than halfway there.

Also there's no conspiracy afoot on the unseen bits, just schedule. You will see and learn lots more this month."
Some gameplay would be nice.

So far on IGN First we revealed Forza Horizon 2, then broke big exclusive coverage on Destiny, WWE 2K15, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This month, we're technically tackling four games at once with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. What was originally rumored as being only Halo 2 Anniversary turned out to be much more than we all bargained for, with all four numbered Halo games returning in one Xbox One package, complete in 1080p and 60fps and with each game's original multiplayer and on dedicated servers (among much, much more, such as the Halo Channel, Forge, Halo: Nightfall, the Halo 5 multiplayer beta, and more). We'll have content every weekday because there's just so damn much to cover. Look for footage from all four campaigns in 1080p/60, all four multiplayers in 1080p/60 (five with the Anniversary stuff, technically), in-depth features, an all-request livestream with original Halo 2 multiplayer lead designer Max Hoberman on October 22, and a few surprises.

IGN got exclusive coverage starting October 6th and will have daily news for the entire month on weekdays.

All four games.

Dave wasn't nearly the player people made him out to be. He was very good in CE in terms of his skill so he played with the best and master calling out weapon times controlling spawns etc.. in 2005 when addy became commonly used it became a matter of time for people to catch up to their skill and learn the teamwork needed. Basically Dave was ahead of the curve in ce and was still a good player in h2 but he was being caught up to, the ogres were the real reason FB was so dominant. and your right he sucks at halo 3

Are those halo ce screen shots from the classic mode or remastered mode ?

Those pics are from the multiplayer of combat evolved. Its not going to have "anniversary graphics". The single player will look better, but the multi for CE and Halo 2 ( not anniversary 2) will look bad
