OFFICIAL HALO MASTER PATCH COLLECTION, VOL: sign up for a patch beta! No really....

Do I really though? Not everyone shares the same philosophy I do. Some people veto for maps as opposed to gametype. I could play H3 right now and if The Pit came up, no matter what gametype is on it, people in the lobby are going to keep it. Myself on the other hand I veto for gametypes, dont even care if its a map I despise, if its BR starts I'm gonna keep it. Every once in a while I'm going to get plopped into an AR/SMG start objective game.

Yes, you've literally complained about the "cartoon" sound fx

Again, we wanted the OG untouched game, we got it. Bruh, wii lax

I've played halo since the OG, this is exactly what I want

I think you just take Halo waaaaay too seriously. Your concerns do not represent that of the vast majority of people who will be playing TMCC.
truth. haha.

I actually like the idea of playlists that have multiple games in them. And as much as I like BR starts, its fun to play with other guns every now and then to mix it up

Me neither, but a lot of people are not pleased with the fact that a lot of the ranked playlists have multiple games in them. Its hard to accurately rank people using such a system when none of the games play the same past the fundamental stages. Spawn mechanics, nade physics, kill times, and a ton of other things vary from game to game and one person can easily be good at one game and bad at the other or flat out just hate the other game. Its like saying someones good at street ball so you might as well say they're going to be good at structured NBA basketball.

These are not the opinions of myself, but rather what I've seen people on the Halo forums say, I'm not one of the people who liked H2 and despised H3 and I didnt play CE multiplayer enough to have a good frame of what it played like.

Even Halo 2 and Halo 3 dont play the same and those are the two games that you could say are the most similar

Who knew a two minute video could make people so angry

I didnt play CE enough to be affected by this but people are legitimately angry that they used the PC version of Halo CE instead of the Xbox One. I dont know all the differences offhand, but theres enough to send people over at the Halo forums into fits of rage. I for one am not gonna get riled up just yet, just because its PC doesnt mean they didnt change most of the stuff to match the Xbox one

One thing I think they should have done is add a game clock, I honestly thought they were going to and I am shocked that they did not. HCE games dont end until they end. There are no ties, most people dont want to sit and play a 30 minute game of CTF and its gonna happen.

Also with no game clock you cant time the power weapons and power ups easily. I know thats gonna be a thing for me because I've never known any other way besides the game clock. IDK if I'm going to be able to mentally track when Rockets and Snipe come back while in the middle of playing. The timer was greatness.

I give it two weeks before a computer/phone app that times the weapons for you is out there somewhere.

Such an app already exists, it's a dollar
There has been no one on the internet more actively and consistently extolling the good qualities of Halo CE than me over the last 10 years. No one.

This is for everyone who has posted in the last 15 pages.

- 343 was not forthcoming with us.

- People who are mad are naive.

- People who are mad at those who are mad are, frankly, ********.

The people who are upset had hope. They really wanted the xbox experience with shot lead, etc. Many of them, including myself, have been lanning Halo CE for the last 10+ years. I still have two big *** CRT televisions in my small condo for this game. It's a pain in the *** dealing with CRTs and craigslist for used boxes and ebay. I have four xboxes and 16 controllers. I do it all for this game and most of my good friends feel the same way. I have a good friend who said he would be pissed if they even removed the lip in the Hang em high trench. He made Maptacular, one of the best H1 vids if not the very best h1 vid of all time.

We love this game. Not like "oh ya I used to have fun with this game with friends sometimes" WE. LOVE. THIS. GAME.

Every detail is important. We love every detail about the experience and 343 said it would be "just as we remembered it." So a lot of people got really hopeful that that would be true. 343 never mentioned HPC, not once, they said "just as you remembered it." That misled a lot of these people. Halo PC is a fundamentally different game as far as mechanics and even visuals are concerned. For relatively casual players, those difference are negligible. For the people who can name every spawn point in Priz off the top of their head like I and hundreds of other people can, these differences are HUGE. So when people say "back to OG boxes" they're not babies, they're going back to what they LOVE. They CAN see this game is different from just a few seconds of gameplay. I know I could. It was immediately obvious.

I happen to work for a software company. I know how they work. I knew as soon as I thought about it that they would probably just be using Halo PC. You can go back through my posts to the week of the announcement. I said it would probably be Halo PC. "Man, I'm tired of being right!" is a quote that comes to mind. I called this months ago and totally saw it coming. So those who chose to believe they were going to get the true xbox h1 experience were a little naive but I have nothing but sympathy for them because I understand how they feel. It feels like losing an oddball game by 1 second. It's heartbreaking.

All you people who havent played lots of timed h1 2v2s simply don't get it - and you're being ******** for calling them babies and wondering why they're not happy. This very likely is not going to be what we fell in love with. It'll be close, and it'll be fun, but it's not what we were told it would be. It's not "just as we remember it."

I may have seen this coming, and I will probably play it a ton and have plenty of fun with it, but this is not going to be the same Halo CE experience that I've been praising for a decade of my life. That said, it will likely still be the single best Halo experience that's ever been on Xbox live. I'm not really happy today, but I will play the hell out of the game. I will buy MCC readily. I will also continue to LAN Halo CE on the original hardware.
Just saw this over at the Halo forums. Pretty much sums up why kids are mad.

I said this over there too but I dont get why they didnt just cater to the CE communities every whim, its the most niche community of them all and they've been playing the same game with the same settings for more than 13 years. If theres anyones game you shouldnt have messed with, its the CE kids game.

Dudes had the dream sold to them and had it ripped away in two minutes :smh:. 343 should have really let this be known months ago.

I get what he is saying....I guess im not that upset because

1. I never played the PC game so Im not sure how big the differences are.
2. I fell in love w/ the game playing a fatty DUKE controller and the basically perfect xbox s controller, even tho I love the ONE controller I knew it wasn't going to be "just as I remembered"
3. I know in my heart of hearts even tho CE was the game I was most looking forward to in the MCC, Halo 2 was going to be getting the brut of my playing time anyway.

I knew something looked off with that sniper reticle

Good eye. I was gonna post the pic earlier but I didnt want to seem like I was nitpicking. The reticle is more than twice the size of what its supposed to be.

OG CE

Its like night and day.
All I can say about the complaints is meh.
I mean they were lied to. All this talk about out the box games was thrown out the window with CE. Kinda sucks cause they could have said something from the jump. Same way when they announced the game they kept implying that H2A was going to be OG H2 jumped up graphically with no changes and kept it like that for months until they showed people what H2A was really like.

Halo 2 Classic game play tomorrow, I expect more jimmies to be rustled

Yea, the reason I never even thought about picking up a sniper on H1, I was straight basura with it, but with that big *** reticle i can be a god lol

I understand a complaint but the amount is was given IMO was ridiculous. I Played H1 both on box and PC and the changes were more cosmetic than anything else. I'm no H1 bxrsuperhyperMLG player, in just speaking from my personal experience

Halo 2 Classic and Anniversary gameplay. Classic starts at 2 minutes

It looks great, crazy smooth. I can't wait to see what that Halo 2 Vista carbine is like I've heard it's ridiculous

Same. Especially Death Island. Heard its great for BTB. The lack of great BTB maps have always been an issue the CE PC maps will change that

Also no H3 game play until next week. Can't wait to see it at 60 frames.

I played a good amount of h1 on PC but I don't remeber the maps much since there was no real MP system.

Halo maps > any other game and it's not even close.

Yeah H3 is my favourite for several reasons, but theres a small chance it may change.

Yeah halo maps >>>> until reach. Reach and 4 maps sucked

The maps were a step down but STILL better than cod, TF, and BF maps.

Maps built with a reason > random building maps and let's just see what happens

The PC halo CE maps are awesome. Super fun for objective games.

and as for those complaints, good lord, lighten up
