OFFICIAL HALO MASTER PATCH COLLECTION, VOL: sign up for a patch beta! No really....

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has gone GOLD!

One of the questions we get asked most is about worldwide release plans. The reality of worldwide sales and retail processes always makes simultaneous launches challenging. Some fans expressed disappointment in our original planned release date of November 11 in North America and November 14 in several other territories around the world. We heard you loud and clear, and I am happy to announce that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11 for the majority of our fans around world!

There are still a few countries that will see a slight delay due to public holidays. In Europe, Belgium will release on November 12 and France will release on November 14 as part of their typical Friday release schedule. Our fans in Japan will see a release of November 13. Given the social aspects of the experience, we were really happy to get it as close to a simultaneous worldwide release as possible so that we can all celebrate on November 11 and start playing together.

. This made my descision for me I'm pre-loading. I dont want to have to wait until 5 am to play.

Pre load is up for those who want it.

Today we see the Blood Gulch Remake. Its hard to believe that we're about to see the 4th iteration of this map. It honestly wouldnt shock me if this map gets remade for H5 or 6, in fact I expect to. I wont even count the spiritual successors to it.

The map will mostly likely get its own spinoff game.

Was never a fan of the hornet. It just didn't fit well in MP. The guns either were OP or did nothing depending on distance. The laser also made them an easy target since they moved so slow. Major lols though trying to splatter or drop Off flag carriers

Yeah the regular one was just too powerful to put in multiplayer and have it work and all the edited ones they made like the one on Avalanche in H3 sucked.

This was honestly one of my favourite maps, 4v4, 5v5, 8v8 doesnt matter. It plays so well for TS and One sided OBJ

Agree.. 343 has really dropped the ball on MM

Peeped the Halo twitter and it was more bs talking about if it takes longer than 5 minutes to find a match back out and try again wtf

I doubt they say anything until theyre close to fixing it. I dont even think its being fixed today.

we got a nice NT party going for anyone down to join for some custom games

Anyone else notice that since the update there was away and some other mm modes missing?
Yeah, it was intentional to help with search times.
I’d like to take a moment to address the state of matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and tell you what we’re doing about it.
Players have expressed frustration at poor matchmaking times, or bad experiences in general. This is something we are working 24/7 to isolate and fix. Since launch, we have done a number of daily server-side tweaks to improve this experience and our data indicates these adjustments have helped considerably, but the state is still far from where it needs to be.

Over the past 48 hours, we believe we have identified the primary matchmaking issue, and are working on a solution right now. In the meantime, we’ll be rolling out additional tweaks over the next days to further improve the experience while we ready this solution. We are monitoring the data and working on tweaks that should continue to improve your matchmaking experience while we prep. In addition, we’ll be releasing a game Content Update tomorrow that will address non-matchmaking related issues. For more details, please visit our support FAQ on our forums that is being updated in real-time: http://bit.ly/11eRtP0.

An additional measure you will see take effect today, is that we’ve decided to trim the hopper list to allow us to drive population to those that are functioning the best – this will serve to further increase the speed with which you find games. We will bring the other hoppers back online as things improve, but our primary focus right now is getting you into matches. For details on which matchmaking playlists are being temporarily taken offline, please visit our support FAQ here: http://bit.ly/11eRtP0.

We are doing everything we can on an hourly basis to improve the experience, while we work on our solution. In the meantime, we’ve found a few things looking at the data that can help you a little as well. We’re seeing successful match times from anywhere from 15 seconds to 4 minutes. 4 minutes is a long time to wait for a match, but don’t quit out too quickly as it will come. If you haven’t found a match within about 4 minutes, please exit the search and restart, as this will reset the parameters and increase the likelihood of entering a match. I realize this isn’t ideal, but it’s temporary while we sort things out.

I’d like to personally apologize to you all for the current situation. I can assure you we’re attacking this from all directions from 343 Industries to the Xbox platform, and we won’t rest until it’s what it should be. People are reporting improvements across the board, which is great, but we’re not backing down until we finish this fight.

Here’s a bit more information on what to expect next week in terms of MCC updates:
Daily server-side tweaks to continue to improve time to get into games
A Content Update tomorrow that addresses some campaign fixes and scoring issues
Content Updates and server side tweaks over the next week focused on matchmaking

11.14 1:00 PM Update
This morning, we rolled out tweaks that should begin to further improve the Matchmaking experience, including:
Dedicated server stability improvements
Laid the groundwork for upcoming Matchmaking content updates, including improvements to the team selection process
Details on the 11.14 Content Update:
This evening, we will be releasing a content update that addresses a variety of community-reported issues. This content update addresses campaign, UI, and some Matchmaking party issues, but will not address Matchmaking performance. As we mentioned yesterday, a larger Matchmaking performance-focused content update is currently planned for release next week. We will have the full details of this update when the update goes live late afternoon (PST).
Please stay tuned to this thread and official channels for this afternoon's update. We thank you for your continued patience.
