The mentality 1's are insanely cheap right now, great colorways. $60 plus 10% discount and free shipping on Eastbay with URLEB6JA, and 8% mr.rebates

Comes out to about $55, the lunarlon insole by itself is worth that
 
I actually wanted to pick up the Mentality just for casual wear when I don't really want to use any of the higher end models. I also wanted to use them for ball, and the 2s look pretty good. I'll wait for those to drop in price though.
 
The 2s look better than the 1s so it might sell better but I do hope it goes as low as the 1s price-wise. My current 1 beaters cost $50, could have been lower if I waited for a discount.
 
Dang, apparently it's flyweave. How's the performance (of the upper) on the KB Mentality 2's...?

I love that they are true lows.

I just checked the Mentality 2's out at the store; Unfortunately, it isn't real flyweave like the KDVIII. There is on certain parts Fuse on the inside. 

However I didn't try them on, so I don't know how they feel/perform on feet. If anyone can give a performance review...?

I picked up a pair of the game royal/volt at the outlet today.

$49.97 - 20% hash sale, - $5 survey GC.

Not really the colorway I wanted but for that price it'll do. Would've looked better without the photo blue on outsole and used solid black. I honestly wanted the lunar insole more than the shoes.

Did swap in some flat black laces. Imo the oval laces didn't look best in them for casual wear.
 
It aint completely flyweave. Almost all of the shoe is backed by fuse and only a small portion of the lateral side is pure flyweave w/o backing. Still looks good though than the 1s.
 
Cant answer that for you but I can sya that I love the swoosh on this. Its woven in rather than heatpressed like the 11s.
 
I got the first ones and was excited. Saw all the pump up talking reviews on youtube as well. The fact that Kobe‘s signature line got whacky, heavy and LS made me want the low cut, light weight shoe. While the only good thing is that the mid sole and sole feel, the uppers were a big big bust. It felt like a one piece rosche cloth.

Shoes were cheap and garbage.

The second one seems similar, but the 5,6 are still probably THE BEST ever.
 
traction and the upper supposedly got better so the 2 might be the shoe to replace my kobe 8 when they go on sale. The 8's are getting expensive

Damn, did these ever hit the clearance section on Nike.com? I'm trying to get a pair for outdoor wear for cheap - specifically the purple and gold colorway, but any colorway would be fine. 
 
is the lunarlon insert on the mentality 2 as thick as the kobe 11's? Those were noticeably thicker than the ones from the 8 and 9, especially in the heel, with or without the heel zoom. The 9's was already thicker than the 8's.
