Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think the platinums are great, especially as a base shoe for simple customs. I bought these with the full intention of painting the heel and possible the sock liner. I did a couple ROUGH mock ups, with a black or obsidian sock, black heel, laces, tongue, etc. I went through a lot of combos out of curiosity.
Anyway, below is a simple change to white for the laces and heel which I plan on doing. I might mix a color to match the platinum for the heel if I don't like the contrasting white. Who knows though. I like the white heel for now, but we'll see how that turns out.
It'd be easy enough for anyone to do. All you need is white laces, Angelus, a paint brush, and proper prep work.
