Yes, EVERY single pair on Soccer.com was backordered because they don't have the pairs physically in their warehouse. Which means it is a preorder. Once they receive stock, you will be charged and shipped.

I was charged immediately when I submitted payment, I have my bank set up to email me and they charged my card $204.98 before I got an email confirmation

Same here, but its a precharge. Meaning it will be credited back shortly. If you read the email they sent it says "a total of $204.98 will be charged to your ..... ending in ... upon shipment of your items"
 
Same....a rep told me they charge you intially to authroize your CC, but the charge is removed until the order ships.

I've been wanting a beater pair of Mercs for a year now
 
I thought this was supposed to be a GR? MC racers were a hell of a lot easier to get. When the dark greys drop I guess I have to take a day off work :lol:

They've sat for a while on several sites. Long enough to comfortably add to cart and check out

Just gotta be at the right place at the right time
 
I guess.. Couldn't check my phone for a couple of hours but all posted links are dead now. But the racers were an easy cop off NDC and when I checked in the evening there were like 6 place that still had them. The retailers that carry them are also very random, none of my usual spots have them. Now I'm bummed I didn't bite the bullet and paid that 230 earlier.
 
END is still releasing too, but I've never managed to cop a hyped sneaker from there. Instant OOS usually. Will try anyway if I get the chance.

I usually miss out on hyped releases, but various NT members in here have been very helpful. Between yesterday and today, I was essentially able to secure a retail pair and a below retail pair.. never would of thought that was possible. :smokin

Thank God this topic isn't as busy as the Flyknit Racer topic :rofl:

I'm assuming you mean the first run of the MC racers?
 
Anyone going after Payaa's tomorrow. Don't see a thread for them yet. I can get down with the black and grey/sand pairs.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think the platinums are great, especially as a base shoe for simple customs.  I bought these with the full intention of painting the heel and possible the sock liner.  I did a couple ROUGH mock ups, with a black or obsidian sock, black heel, laces, tongue, etc. I went through a lot of combos out of curiosity.

Anyway, below is a simple change to white for the laces and heel which I plan on doing. I might mix a color to match the platinum for the heel if I don't like the contrasting white. Who knows though. I like the white heel for now, but we'll see how that turns out.

It'd be easy enough for anyone to do. All you need is white laces, Angelus, a paint brush, and proper prep work.
