Who's the Better Ball Handler... Kyrie Irving or Allen Iverson? - Page 2

A.I. my dude for life even had cornrows because of him in high school laugh.gif

But Kyrie has too many different moves , crossovers , behind the back, spins, etc etc his handle is all around sick where A.I. mainly used the crossover.

Side note : Kemba Walker has a sick underrated handle he can really do anything with rock or get anywhere on the court, he's easily top tier handles.

AI speed was on another level...remember seeing his high school football highlights when nobody could keep up with him, returning punts for TD's all day laugh.gifpimp.gif

AI will always be THAT dude but strictly on handles, Kyrie has it all. An underrated and even a bit of surprise to me is Steph Curry though. Dude's handles HELLA improved.

I'd say it's about the same. But who used his handles more effectively is not even up for debate.

A.I because his crossover is world reknown

As much as I watched AI I never really thought his handles were excellent. His athleticism got him anywhere but his jumper was kinda broken. sick.gif He built the slasher blueprint for guys like monta and westbrook though.

Weigh in.

Or is this a Player A vs. Player B thread and therefore not allowed?

I think because I'm talking specifically about dribbling and not "who would you rather have," or "who is a better basketball player" it's ok? I don't know Ska what's your ruling?

Weigh in unless (until?) Ska locks it!

Who is Kyrie Irving?

Um maybe A.I., jus' by a little...

When it comes to more moves, I'd say kyrie. Although he and cp are neck and neck imo. I literally get nervous for a defender that's squaring up with cp because he's so crafty. Kyrie definitely displays his skills a lot more. Steph has some slick handles, but I wouldn't classify them astop tier. Jamal Crawford has those PE handles, like 4 unnecessary crossovers amd behind the back moves on one play.
Oh yeah, Iverson listed kyrie as the main current player that he'd like to go up against.
AI was one of the best at getting to his spots anytime and anywhere. Players like Kyrie and CP3 have the ball on a string, AI had a quick first step and uncanny ability to finish so you would never see him using too many moves. He would use his crossover, stepback, and weave through the paint real easy. I would still say AI > Kyrie, disregarding the nostalgia too.
If its between AI and Kyrie its AI. If where adding others players it Jason Williams imo

Hard to say because of when they came on the scene. But in terms of ICONIC ball-handlers, AI is that dude man. 1st Ballot Hall of Fame dribbler. Same with Kyrie but I am biased since I was born in the 80s
