No, I'm not saying that. I'm not even saying dude can't defend, he absoluty can, I'm just saying LBJ isn't as mighty on that end of the court as he is portrayed. That's all. I still like Tony Allen when he gets good rhythm. Dude was snatching KD's cookies every chance he got. I like Pat Beverly too and Avery Bradley. And of course Kawhi.

Those guys are exceptional on that end of the floor but A) They aren't stopping Russ KD Kobe Harden Melo etc. over a 48 minute game. They are still going to get theirs. and B) Those guys wouldn't be as good defensively if they were as good as Lebron is offensively

Nobody is Locking down the leagues ELITE, except Tony Allen.
Am I right or am I right?
Thought so

TA Locking down the league's elite huh? Consistently ?

Bruh over a 7 game series KD averaged 30 and 10 on 44%. Is that really locking down the league's elite?

Thought so.

Nah man he wasn't getting screens when he was cooking Lebron, they would just swing ball and he'd attack

Like do I have find a video on YouTube to prove this to you? The NBA Finals was like a month ago!

Say consistently. Say KD got locked by Tony because he had to play offense and Tony didn't. I don't care what you say.

Tony Allen is locking **** down, who cares that Tony Allen doesn't have the same offensive chores as Lebron or KD

He locks, he doesn't finger roll and shoot J's

perhaps, IDK I guess we'll never know. I know playing both ends takes a lot out of you. I'm not even hating on bron. My dialogue is mostly with the guys says he can guard 4 positions. They never even signify for how long. Sure, he can probably guard those positions for a few plays, or a qtr or two, but leaving him on too long and he gets winded and his discipline collapses. Swaggy P was giving the homie buckets on Xmas

STOP IT NOWWWW!!!

So players can't have bad shooting games?

Happens all the time.

@shoeking2101  You can through the word "consistently" behind anything and make an argument.

You're better than that, you get the point.

Stop playing

I don't love My Mother consistently, means sh it, I still love her

I'm floored at people in here thinking Tony Allen "locked up" KD. Did he make it tougher on him to score? Yeah.

Did KD still put 30 on his head? YEP.

I hear you. And I get you. But because Swaggy P hits some contested bad shots does not make bron a bad defender   guys who shoot a lot and play a lot are going to score regardless of who's defending them. This is my point. Even swaggy freaking p is going to get off sometimes when every time he touches the ball he's shooting.

Lebron can guard 4 positions if need be. If you need him to guard a 1, 2, 3, or a 4 for a few possessions he can do it, and be really good at it. Obviously, because of the course load he has on the other end of the floor he can't do it consistently and be effective at it, but he can do it and is a great individual defender. You can't look at someone "giving someone buckets" as a means for evaluating their ability on the defensive end of the floor. It's more to it than that.

KD got locked, period.

The points KD scored aren't indicative of the situation.

If KD says on National TV,
"Tony Allen is in my head" ]

You hush kid, you are cosigning the wrong convo mate. Go find help and come back

But if he scored 25-30 then he wasn't "locked".

Huh? You say TA can Lock down KD. Point blank period that's wrong. He can make things tough for him sure, but he can't "lock him down" as you said.

KD put up 30 a game that series. He isn't locking any elite player down consistently. That's the point of using the word consistently. If you don't use the word consistently, then things run the risk of being interpreted. I.e. you see TA poking the ball away from KD, getting him out of position, etc. and unless you ask "is he doing that consistently" then you can say he's being locked up.

That's why I said "consistently." He can play great D for a few plays, but over 38 minutes? He's not locking any elite player down.

You can get as many cheerleaders as you want to say KD scored 30 so he didn't get locked.

KD almost lost the series for them.

Don't believe me ask Westbrook.

KD got Locked, the end

So if KD wasn't getting locked up, what would his numbers look like? Just curious

"Almost lost" meaning they didn't aka they won. How much does one need to score to be not "locked up"? 40? I guess everyone is a top tier defender then
