Yeah I'm sure there was another woman coaching a d-league team announced a few years ago. It's great progress.The more I think about it and see it's been done before Spurs hiring Becky isn't a pr move. I think they hired cuz she's right for the job. It's one of those pr non-pr moves cuz ppl love to say year in year out how nobody talks about the Spurs. I'm sure it'll be mentioned during a game about how the champs don't get recognition or some nonsense.
Thing is everybody knows why nobody talks about the Spurs, pretty boring, no real charismatic superstar. It's like they're specifically targeting these quiet dudes that try to stay under the radar. Spurs and their fans should be happy with that identity or at least I think hey are minus the few that love to do the same ol nobody is talking about the Spurs routine.
