Fixed.

Part of the issue here is that you guys are overrating AD's defense currently. He has potential to be elite but he's not there yet. Not even close. His offense is ahead of his D right now. He was a monster at Kentucky but he's still figuring out NBA defense. Next year, he should take another leap though.

Yeah, this I agree with. The advanced metrics weren't very kind to his defense last year. He has all the physical tools though, he'll get there.

James Harden has become so hated now, he's become underrated.

Like somehow James Harden isn't the first supremely gifted perimeter player to not play any defense.

3. Russ (those knee injuries make me worry)
4. Carmelo
5. Anthony Davis

Want to put Kobe in there but age and recent injuries won't let me.
Can't believe Monroe took the QO.

He really doesn't want to rot in Detroit.

he doesnt care where he plays, he wants money

if Piston offered him $60 mill then i really dont know what else he wants unless he is really upset about Smith being on the team. i kinda dont blame him but smh

I'd like to hear why Anthony Davis is a better overall player than Russy.

Andre chamberlain >>>>>>AD

When its all said & done :pimp: :pimp:
I can't let this go, man. Andre the Giant is one of my favorites, but his best asset is defense and Anthony Davis defends and blocks shots better than Drummond does. Davis' offense is further along than Dre too.

Nah hes the real AD

Drummond is gonna be the best C in the league by the end of next season

15 & 15
Drummond still has to jump DMC, and he's far behind offensively.

CP3 > Steph
I thought this was known and publicly accepted.

Monroe getting 5 while Josh Smith getting almost triple that with 13.5. :x
Dumars weeps. Iggy or Rudy would have fit much better next to Monroe and Dre.

Rudy for J. Smith and extra pieces. Then Monroe can sign a long-term extension.

Make it happen :nthat:

Been wanting Rudy for awhile. hes not the best player but at this moment id take him jst so we can have Monroe back and next to Dre where he belongs

AD's PER is slightly higher.

I think it's pointless to argue either side because they're both beasts in their own right.

AD is just more valuable IMO because he's a big man.

damn yall overrate players like a mug mug

Na.

If dude wasn't stuck rotting on the Pelicans, people would be giving him the praise he deserves.

Watch what happens when he skips town and goes to a franchise that actually matters.

Dude is 21.

How many 21 year olds had as much impact as he did last year in the history of the NBA?

One of my main arguments for Russy over AD is Westbrook can get you a clutch basket with the game on the line. Do you trust Davis' offensive skill-set enough in the final two minutes of the playoffs?

Personally, I don't know how you can completely divorce how good a player is from how good his team is. Generally speaking, if guys really are top 3-5 in the game, they elevate their team to playoff contention. If they don't - then what's the basis for saying that player is that good? Stats? If that's what it is, then Kevin Love should probably ranked in the top 5. But he's not and gets criticized on here a lot because his teams have never won. Now I know Love and Davis aren't exactly comparable because AD plays defense, but still. Seems like there is some double-standards being applied in here. Winning has got to count for something, IMO.

It's just unfair to judge a guy like Kevin Love or Anthony Davis for not winning when he has 2-3 legit players around him and his teams are constantly injured. A good team needs a MINIMUM of 5 legitimate NBA players. 5 rotation guys.

Supporting casts matter. Look at Melo's team last year vs. this year. Did he all of a sudden get worse? No. It's what happens when you get rid of smart, tough veterans and replace them with more minutes for boneheaded scrubs.

If someone has a good team and they can't win - then you have to look at what the problem is. That's not the case with KL or AD tho.

I can already see what it's gonna be with AD. Yall gonna crown him the best in the league eventually and it won't really matter.

Best in the league on a ****** team. Then inevitably the naysayers will come through with the AD padding stats, empty stats talk, and anybody can average that much on a bad team, etc.

I too don't see the point in rushing AD's ascension like this. As if anybody is really fighting against it.

you don't decide a players value based on who can't get you a single bucket when the game is on the line. If thats the case, Dirk is the best player in the league.
