Hi-

I am a casual sneaker collector and new to the forums, so I apologize if something similar was covered in another thread - I couldn't find anything with the search function.

I was happy to receive my infrared low 11's today but I noticed a defect? with the patent leather.

To the eye it appears to be almost like a water or grease spot, however it will not come off AT ALL with water, baby wipes, or rubbing.  To the touch, the area feels no different than the area around it - so it isn't a scratch or a scuff.  It appears to be topical.

Any suggestions on what I should use to remove the spot?

Much appreciated,

Thanks

Acetone, Q-tips and a rag/paper towel. It removes scuffs from patent leather. BUT!!! it also fades the patent leather easy... so you'll have to divide the defect up and tackle it in sections. I suggest taking the top off the acetone bottle and pouring a little in the cap. Dip the q-tip in it just enough for it to get wet... and lightly DAB and wipe around small sections until you get it all. Dab... wipe... dab... wipe... etc.
