STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON MOVIE RELEASE DATE 8/14/2015

Would be dope if they have a scene of Eazy-E visiting the White House in the director's cut.

Oh word? Learn something new every day. All the documentation says "affiliated".

I'm not sure about that because back when NWA came out, nobody knew what the hell Compton was but we knew what LA was because of Ice T.

Lol just saw colors the other day. Didnt know so many up n coming actors were in that. Don cheadle with the shot gun hey blood! Damon wayans on that pcp

Ice t colors still goes hard in the whip

Bro this movie had a few people that did not authorize to be portrayed in the movie so what u talkin bout?

ok name em

Suge? Im sure they didnt care about getting Suge's ok. One he is facing a murder case. Two Eazy/Ruthless own some of his and Death Rows right which defualts to Eazys wife who was one of the main producers on board with the film. Three he dont have the funds to face Dre, Jimmy, Cube, Gary and the powers that back and co sign all these guys. They would bleed him dry in court before he would even see a check from taking them to court. But like I said he facing so much other stuff the last thing he needs to be worried about his him being in straight outta compton. It was a chess move by them which is why he wanted to fight them on set.

um who else Jerry? he is almost in the same boat as Suge but recently announced he is going to take action with his lawyers against everyone who had a hand in the film. But again Jerry is gonna catch all kinds of trouble when these guys got a 5 Billion dollar company backing them.

who else um 2pac? His mom gave them the ok so you cant be mentioning him

who else The DOC? Snoop? Warren G? Jinx? Bone? All are proud and support the film because they still have relationships with the people in the film

so im curious to know outside of Jerry and Suge who didnt give the ok

You sound like a feminist

One isolated incident b
In every situation dre was in he was somebodys lap dog and moved on to the next

Son went from dressing like a woman and being drug free to being a gangster and smoking weed.

Son hid behind suge knight cuz he knew back then nobody would touch him with suge knight then left cuz he got hurt 2pac was taking his spotlight and got clowned by 2pac and never said a word.

Not to mention the fact dre denounced ganster rap and when his aftermath album failed he went back to that gangster rap sound

Lets not bring up the countless producers work he took credit for

Snoop was the same way. They were both like prostitutes running to the next pimp.

Yall can give him props for his production but please miss me with that ganster portrayal you guys believe he lives

Not sure why grown men would defend another man they dont even know
We can agree on the "not gangster" thing......didn't know folks out here really thought he was about that life
laugh.gif

your post overall made it seem like you disliked him in all aspects of his life ...ex) "never liked dre"

but I digress

Yea without suge dre woulda been stuck on ruthless getting ganked

Was it true dre made peace with eazy on his death bed or no?

Dre didnt see real $$$ until he got with Suge so he wasn't too successful where it really counted until DR
Suge is the one that introduced him to Jimmy Iovine

He didn't see real money in NWA because he obviously was being robbed. That has nothing to do with whether or not he was successful. Nwa clearly was successful, and not because of Suge or Jimmy. Death row was successful because of Dre's name. But, aftermath is successful because of who?

some people gotta wake up about the gangster thing

there are a hand full of commercial successful rappers who was NOT 100% bout that life they talked about

and to the dude saying Dre wouldn't make it with out Suge the same can be said for Suge and Eazy they wouldnt have made it with out Dre. They brought the funds and business side and he brought the music and production and vision musically and in the end if you wanna say someone got pimped it was them because he is now Billion dollar man that is loved by the masses and looked at as a genius while they fall waist side

DOC does? Because I didn't even learn he was essential. I would have seen him as a drunk who hung around them all the time. Who then got in a car accident.

I had a big problem with how he was portrayed.

He clearly felt he wasnt successful enough which is why he needed Suge "help"...Dr Dre was looked at as nothing but a beat maker in NWA

and Suge really could have put a halt in Aftermath if he really wanted too...

They all needed each other. But Eazy did have Bone and Above the Law. DJ U-neek and Cold 187um were hot producers in their own right. They didn't need Dre.

Truth is Dr.Dre and Ice Cube have all the money now so they can portray themselves however they want. There is nothing all the other people and especially the ones that passed away can do about it. Dr.Dre and Ice Cube have the stage. It is sad put it happens all the time.

Anyway how was the movie?

everybody in here hating on Dre for not mentioning the Dee Barnes incident in the movie

did it ever occur to yall that the original movie was 3 hours long maybe it will be in the directors cut

did it ever occur to yall that he probably would have to get the "ok" from Dee Barnes camp to portray her image on screen which would probably come at a cost im sure

did it ever occure to yall that Dre could care less about the Dee Barnes incident that yall assume he tries to sweep under the rug when him and Em make fun of the incident in one of Em's biggest songs on one of hip hops biggest albums?

and then we got guys in here questioning is Dre a gangster or is Cube a gangster.... They talked about their surroundings just like Kendrick is currently doing. They gave reality rap and (white) america painted it a bad image of gangster rap

and like Kendricks pop said real or gangster isnt banging or killing. REAL and GANGSTER is taking care of you family and being yo own boss and doing what you want to not what you told

Yea, I hear what you're saying. And I also said that maybe it was just edited out of the movie.

But whether dre cared about it or not, it was a significant moment for hip hop and for Dr. Dre and it occurred during the time frame of the movie, which is why I expected/hoped it would have been in the movie. It adds to Dre's character...It shows how far he has come from his humble beginnings and even his once-upon-a-time abusive behavior towards women to his current situation.

Its a chain reaction bro! Lets back it up BEFORE Bone

would Eazy have came across Bone had not he been successful with NWA?

would Eazy have been able to rap or drop Boyz N Da Hood with out Dre asking him to do it and baby sitting him in the studio for hours just to complete ONE song

it all started with Dre. Lets put the movie aside im going off of facts given from all parties that Dre was the man with the plan and Eazy was the man with the money and hustle

Haha what? He knew his situation was BS with ruthless, wasn't about success. And Suge couldn't have done **** to aftermath. If he could've, he would've. He didn't think Dre could be successful without any artist. Suge had two of the biggest artist in the world (2pac and Snoop) when Dre left.

With no production. Look at "Doggystyle", "Dogg Father". Yo, that album was maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad wack! It was DJ Pooh and I guess Daz on the boards.

Dre 1st Aftermath album was terrible he had to find/ come with something the world had never seen before and that's what he did...

Dre was under contract bro like I said he could have put a halt in Aftermath he allowed Dre to leave jus like he allowed Snoop to leave

Wait, what? You all over the place bro. But, his 1st album still went platinum. And so did majority of the ones that came after. So...
