Nah. Yall just naming good artists. Films can only work for those who helped change their genre in some way. Like a big impact.

There's sooo many ways to tackle a Pac Biopic. Off of that alone it's a must watch. (Especially for me, since Pac is the GOAT)
But if cats were up in arms about how people were portrayed in SOC then they would for sure be HOT at how pac is going to be portrayed
This is a big statement, but I don't think in all of music history ( black music history at least) that there is a more perfect artist to have a biopic about. He had everything. Young, had the police brutality issues, Got shot at and survived, went to jail, came out, was involved in a coastal "beef" with the east coast, has the perfect opposite for a movie that they could play up in BIG, had the thug life image popping,
and yeah, sold a **** load of records in the process
Project would suffer from too many cooks in the kitchen including Afeni who has had a hand in hurting his legacy with the Makaveli clothing line as well as bad posthumous albums.

The Makaveli clothing line was awful.
I do think though, quite a few of his posthumous albums have suffered from groupthink. People have taken that narrative and ran with it.
R U Still Down, Until The End of Time, Better Dayz, all are awesome records. At least for me. Hell, I still listen to those albums all the time.
But if Afeni is overseeing her son's biopic I really would wonder how much she would doctor up and protect his image. Or would she just let it all go?

She would doctor it much like Voletta did with Notorious. Lil Kim was irate at how she depicted her in the movie.

When someone said an R&B biopic, the first name that I thought of was R. Kelly.
He's another one who essentially has everything necessary to make a smash biopic.
However, his legal troubles (which normally aid in projects such as these) may be too much to overcome to make a movie around it.
And Pedophilia is a touchy subject to include in a film.

He wouldn't narrate himself. He'd definitely have Common do it.
He would probably shave and star as himself for everything after his accident though.
This is why the biopic is necessary. He has so much hate (or love) from people they will all go see it expecting some sort of Tomfoolery
Then they'll get hit with the struggles coming up with his mom.. gaining notoriety in Rocafella.. The accident.. the start of a rap career that no one wanted him to have.. relation with Jay.. Blossoming into a huge star.. george bush doesn't like black people.. death of his mom.. losing his mind showing out in public... various romances.. amber.. taylor swift.. becoming hated.. judged.. Fashion.. his nike deal.. kim.. North.. end.

Cash Money era would bring in the hood crowd
YM era would bring in Wayne, Nicki, and Drakes HUGE fanbases
film maybe bad but from a money standpoint it will work
same with Kanye film
Kanye is one of the very few entertainers of our gen that can sell anything and make it high demand
I can see Kanye releasing a biopic and giving clothing out to everybody who went to see the film 1st week and it would do CRAZY numbers
