Robin Thicke's New Album, "Paula" In Stores July 1, 2014. Come In Here & Get Her Back . Official St

I didn't realize people were so invested in their relationship until I read the comments for the video. They were going in.

I tried to listen to the stream but it didn't hold my interest. I'll try again later today.

If it's doing as bad as y'all say he's falling so hard coming off of Blurred Lines. Po thing
yea it was crazy......he got them "feminist" chicks heated .....but those chicks are the new hipster.......**** so lame

Nobody stays on top forever. That's just the business. If there's anybody that knows just how slippery the slope of fame is, it's him. All i'm saying is that he'll always have a following because he's a true songwriter. He's flopped before lol.

his flop before quite different than this; he flopped with long hair and no Pharrell

he established himself as heavy hitter in the industry just last year and then all the stuff came out about him and he pretty did the worst thing possible; he simped and almost EVERYONE laughed in his face

A flop is a flop lol. This album will not go down as his best, but it got more people talking about him due to it's personal nature, and as long as people get caught up in the "soap opera" aspect of it all, there will always be interest, positive or negative. He established himself several years before "Blurred Lines". He just scored his first HUGE Pop hit with that song, however.

I saw dudes Hot 97 interview. He looks bad. Like he been doing every drug under the sun.

So where does JT Lite go from here?
No Paula
Flopped attempt (no LeBron)
No hair

man I been a Robin Thicke fan since evolution (one of the greatest R&B albums of the 00s that no one really talks about) but this Paula album was trash. The best song was 'Get her Back." Some of the songs had me questioning exactly who they were even about---was he opening up about scandalous chicks throwing it at him?? I was confused on a few.....

this sucks tho, I really ****** with their relationship. I guess 'Ye was right

"they gon' keep callin' and tryin' but you stay right girl---AND WHEN HE GET ON HE LEAVE YO *** FOR A WHITE GIRL"

This album seriously sold less than 600 albums first week. My god what a flop

Got damb Robin.

On Sway's show he said he might just disappear after this album. She broke that man into pieces.

:smh: Hopefully he takes time off, then comes back with that real R&B and just fly under the radar like he did prior to 'Blurred Lines'

he broke himself into pieces

and this. I mean, you cheated--- and like someone else said you don't leave the ONLY man you've ever really been with over a one time deal. I'm willing to bet it's been a kinda on going thing and it just came to a head now. Even in his previous albums he made reference to issues he's had with cocaine etc. "lost without you," which was a monster hit, could be viewed as an earlier plea for her to stick around. Although then it might've been cuz she was getting shine and he wasn't. Who knows.

Don't it always seem to go---you don't know what you got 'till it's gone. Halle Berry and Paula Patton out here gettin' cheated on. Man what does that mean for regular ol' plain janes like me?

Women still think the way they look is what determines if they'll be cheated on or not?

You also don't know what you got until ya got it. So, it doesn't mean a damn thing lol. Pretty people have problems too. Halle Berry is a whole other discussion lol .

Damn can't get your ***** back selling 600 copies what in the entire **** [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

Some of y'all don't read

600 copies in the UK and 25k in the USA; still a complete flop and failure

How in the world did this guy manage to sell less in the first week than Wale's debut album?

He named his album "Paula", SMH.  This dude is doing a little too much just to try and win his wife back.

He has been with her most of his life and is the mother of his child. As simpish as it sounds, dude lost a part of himself. Can't blame him for trying everything to get it back

Especially since ole girl probably out in the streets sampling BBC platters as we speak.

I understand that's his wife, mother of child, a person that he's known most of his life and so forth, but at the end of the day if Paula doesn't want to be with him or forgive him then that's on her, not on him.  I'm guessing she said the same vows that he did at their wedding......."for better or WORSE".  People really need to realize what that means, especially woman.  Marriage isn't some picture perfect fantasy every day, you have your up and downs but you are suppose to "gut" it out to maintain your marriage.

It's been about a year since the problems in their marriage became public.  With women, the more simping you do, the worse it gets and the worse women view you.  After awhile with all the simping and ***-kissing, the less respect a woman will give you.  Generally speaking, the less attention you give a woman, especially after you have been running behind them for so long the better she will treat/view you, generally speaking.

Are you speaking this as a married or once married man? Or someone who things they know women?

Your first paragraph was on point, but the 2nd... Not so much.

But either rway, I agree with the first half. Gotta think **** all the way through before you spit them vows..

I'm speaking this as a man who IMO knows women.  I've also personally seen the success of many long-term marriages, with my parents being one of them.  I'm glad you agreed with the first paragraph.  In regards to the 2nd paragraph what specifically didn't you agree with??

Nah I think the 2nd part is pretty on point. I see that **** happen everyday...the best way to get someones attention is to not give them any...once you start simping and chasing people (women more specifically), they put you in their back pocket and take you for granted. Just my opinion.

True, I got my game from my parents marriage as well. Thats the one place you can usually look and see where marriage and see the do's and don'ts etc etc.

I just think that, in my humble opinion, that going to great lengths to get your wife back isn't necessarily a bad thing or really simping, to a degree.

Now, I haven't listened to the entire album, but I think this isn't as bad of an idea as say it would be if it weren't his wife we were talking about.

Like if Chris made an album for Rihanna or something. Thats OD. But this guy has spent his life with this woman and they have a child, a family, etc. It sort of seems like he's doing what he can in order to pull the things in his life back together. Granted, I don't know jack squat about the ins and outs of their relationship. Just what I see on the outlet layer in the media from time to time.

I agree that trying TOO hard and being all up her *** will do nothing but make her tired of you and turn a woman off, especially when you're on the outside trying to get back in.

But when trying to get your wife back, I don't think giving her less attention is whats going to draw her back in. I think thats the part where I didn't really agree. If anything, when trying to get a grip back on your marriage, I think you should try everything in your power to stay active in her field of view. Maybe not through an album or getting on the radio and putting all ya'll **** out there, but maybe turning up in father mode, trying to put your hands more actively in your family life and stop taking lines of coke off random broads **** and show her that "yo, I'm trying, I'm making an effort cause I want you back"

But don't cry for her attention in the media. Dropping an album is one thing, as a dedication to the woman you love. But don't show your complete weaknesses when you're out and about.

So I don't completely disagree with your 2nd statement, just halfway.

I feel like I typed too much for this.

I agree---I think Robin is making it TOO public; kinda just comes off like a gimmic? Making a private album or something and then sending it to her camp and her camp only would've gone a longer way. Nothing wrong with getting your wife back. There IS something wrong dragging the public into an extremely private affair.

Gotcha, I understand.  Nothing wrong with trying your hardest to get your wife back,  Just the manner in which Robin is publicly going about is a bit too much to me.
