Damn Cake, this pick was in 13 hours ago. I waited as long as I could, you hadn't been on NT or Twitter.

I knew you needed a SF, Pierce was the highest player on the list, you're team was a mix of young and old, Barnes was terrible last year and much further down the list, a Carolina kid, you're a Dukie......I went with the higher rated, win now type of guy.

I wasn't tryin to screw you over man. Cap, awwsome, myself, Senor were all online waiting. My bad man.

I'll post my pick in a few need to do research. Harrison was the guy I wanted...

Let's go with

Once a Knick

Wilson Chandler SF

Was between him and another cat that's played in NY. Went with the more polished player since my backcourt is young and I didn't want to overload the starting 5 with youth and slashers. Wilson at least has decent range and could be trusted when kicked out. Would've preferred Harrison Barnes since he spreads the floor a little better but he's not as polished in the other categories so I could live w not getting him. Versatile starting 5 that will defend well and grind out games. Just need to add some shooters now.

Finally someone took Bogut. I was surprised he was still available.

Was shocked he wasn't taken before guys like Dieng or Tyson or Varenao.

George Hill
Kobe
Jimmy Butler
Dirk
Bogut

I feel like George Hill might've still been on the board now... :nerd:

I didn't see Minny play last year, but how did Gorgui look? Was a fan of his coming out of the Ville. Solid size, good passer.

Rounding out my starting line up, The Main Men will select Greivis Vasquez

Vasquez
E. Gordon
Jabari Parker
Josh Smith
Al Jefferson.

I was gonna wait until I finished my team to post the write up I did but why not do it for the starting 5
I had the seventh pick which was about where I wanted to fall. I don’t like picking too early because you get totally screwed on the back end and picking late in a league with 30 teams all but ensures that you wont be getting a superstar player on your team and I’m almost positive that the scoring system behind it will be one where superstars heavily influence things. My team is built around the premise of trying to win early, not necessarily immediately, but I don’t want to have to wait years on end for something to happen if this even makes it that long.

For my first pick I chose Kevin Love. Outside of LeBron and Kevin Durant, he was who I wanted, and was glad to see him fall to 7. He’s the quintessential fantasy basketball player, all he does is put up gaudy numbers night after night.

I wanted to get a center with my next pick because lord knows that quality bigs are hard to find. My #1 pick based on where my spot was on the board would have been Nikola Vucevic. When that didn’t happen along with all the other bigs that I wanted were snatched up I knew had I had to move on and get a solid PG. Serviceable PGs are a dime a dozen at this point in the league, but I wanted a really good one. With the injury and contract issues looming in Memphis I thought Mike Conley would be a good pick and see way more usage than in years past.

Gordon Hayward? Who doesn’t like Gordon Hayward, last years feast or famine king. Gives you three straight 25 point 6 assist seven games on 58% shooting, then lays goose eggs for 4 games. I think he’s finally figured it out and will have himself a good and consistent year come this season. I have now filled by white guy on my team quota, anything above this is charity.

For my fourth pick, I want to go to for a Center I want to do it really badly but… Jamal Crawford was still on the board at that point. I couldn’t pass that up, the fact that he was sitting there that deep into round 4 was crazy to me. I knew I could swing back and get a center anyways and if I let Crawford stick for 8 more picks I probably would have lost out on him.

5[sup]th[/sup] pick it was finally time to get a competent center, no way around it. Theyre not exactly a dime a dozen. I picked up Javale McGee who I expect to see a ton more usage now that Karls out. Probably will end up the starter and come close to averaging a double double. Thought it was a great pick being that we’re so deep in the draft as it is.

I can't view the spreadsheet at the moment, can someone (gtb?) take a screen shot?
