Take heed, hairless men, for soon ye too shall be hirsute. No longer will your brilliant dome blind oncoming traffic or herald your approach like a beacon, for the great Ivy League minds at Yale have uncovered pharmaceutical alchemy that will bring whiskers to your body like moss to a Chia Pet.

Over the course of an eight-month trial a nearly hairless man, whose condition is the result of a rare disease called alopecia, sprouted a full head of hair along with eyebrows, eyelashes, facial, armpit, and “other” hair. This miracle drug, which also works for treating psoriasis, is called tofacitinib citrate, and is actually prescribed for arthritis (these other results are actually the side effects). And despite a bevy of serious sounding other side effects, like tuberculosis and urinary tract infections, the patient in Yale’s test reported none of them.

Tofacitinib was discovered by Pfizer and approved by the FDA in 2012, though it is currently not approved in Europe. For all the pharmaceutical industry’s evils, Pfizer is on a mission to make the baby boomer’s life better, first with Viagra and now this, though it’s ironic that both drugs are being heralded more for their side effects than original intent.

That said, no way this is worth risking the tuberculosis and kidney failure over.

Though I know a few NTers are hype like "I'm bout to be looking like"

If I was going bald I'd rather embrace it than take this ****. Increased risk of cancer and TB just to grow some hair?

Tuberculosis and urinary tract infections? Nah. :x

If that day comes for me, I'm just gonna go full Tyrese.

it worked for HIS specific condition (alopecia areata), which isn't the same as male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia)...but who knows

my hair started going and i just said **** it and took some clippers to it with no guard...

Is going bald really that confidence shattering?

Just go full bald like Jordan and Vin diesel

LOL @ people thinking this works for the most common cause of baldness. If I'm not mistaken alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder like psoriasis. So this drugs mechanism is to counteract that autoimmune inflammatory response. Some drugs used for psoriasis also have similar side effect profiles just to put things in perspective.

So  rubbing this on your head for male pattern baldness is just going to give you TB without any of the benefits.

Well thanks for ******** in my soup.

I was pumped. |I

Haha, I wouldn't say confidence shattering. It's sort of like an emphasis on the transformation of your body due to aging. Imagine after 30 years of looking at yourself in the mirror, something is changing and there is nothing you can do. That's why the best advice people usually give, is to let it go.

We all want to control everything, we can't,

This. Rocking the horse shoe isn't a good look when you're still in your 20s. I look good with and without hair but going bald makes me look older than I am. I get a triple 0 cut every 2 weeks to help mask it. It's just nice having hair, being able to style it and have girls run their fingers through it. Wish I knew that feel but rocked caesars most of my life :smh:. I've read meditation stimulates hair growth but not sure if you can get a full head of hair from it. I considered taking propecia but soon as they told me about impotence being a side effect I was :x

Have a young brother looking like. . .

not at least for me...i usually rocked a 2 all over and when my lines were going back, i cut it with no guard...only a few people could tell the difference...

just gets annoying cutting it every few days

what kind of clippers do you use? how'd you learn to cut your own hair? Def. interested in saving myself $20 and just maintaining my cut once a week.

i been going with these last few months...very clean cut, but very sharp

but like i said, i use NO GAURD, baldy status...and if you do purchase, make sure to buy some guards because they only come with a mini-brush

What I did. Copped a low no guard caesar and never looked back.

They're not sure yet. The results may end up being case by case, same way it worked for his psoriasis but they're not sure if it will for everyone elses.

And how is it misleading? Reading the op and the links posted explained that. I'm sure that's what you clicked. get yo pessimistic hating *** out of here.

HAIR FOR EVERYONE!!!

Feels bad man. Especially when you have nice hair in the first place and your dad and younger brother have no signs of it. Mine is in the early stages By my temples.
