Official Prey (Predator 5-ish) - Straight to Hulu/Disney+ Aug. 8, 2022

I don't dislike Predator 2 but my most hated guy in cinema was Danny Glover in that movie :smh: You just can't go from Arnold to someone that's "too old for this s**t" :lol:

But I completely agree with 6 Rings, The Rock would be perfect for this. There was a Predator comic that was about Arnold's brother that took place in NYC. They could easily follow that story and just have Rock/Arnold as old buddies instead of brothers or something.
 
Predator is my favorite childhood movie.  PLEASE don't ruin it.  I know it will never be as good as the first since growing up i wanted to be arnold but just don't ruin it please
 
The Predator movie from a few years ago where they are trapped in the jungle and there was this samurai dude wasn't that bad.

The AvP where they go down a hole in the snow in some underground ruins wasn't too bad either, but there was a terrible one where they were at a high school or something :x

Nothing is topping the OG though.

Will see what they bring with this movie.

Predator is a classic............ The ones to follow being "not that bad" makes them pointless to make. Said it before and I'll say it again, you don't need to make titanic 2 :smh:


Look at terminator. 1 and 2 was and still is untouchable. 3 wasn't that bad but in comparison left the viewers like "que?". Then we got salvation that was so meh they scraped the whole trilogy

Honestly, if you watch AVP:R with your brightness level turned up, so you can actual see stuff, it's not a bad highlight movie of a Predator kicking ***. But then again, The "Wolf" Predator is my favorite one, so I'm a bit biased.

Predator is my atf This needs the rock. Testosterone filled to the max. This a mans movie. Guns blazing the works. But reboots always have you compare to the og. Hopefully they don't mess it up.

Predator is probably the best brah film of all time.

Doesn't matter how good the writing and direction is in the remake. They won't be able to top the O.G cast.
 
Can we just clone Arnold so he can be in bloody action movies forever?

I finally finished Last Stand today. It was actually pretty good. Don't think we ever saw young Arnold as a badass cop except for Kindergarden Cop.

Shane Black just confirmed its a sequel. Ok.

Big news broke yesterday with the reveal that Shane Black has plans to "reboot" 20th Century Fox's Predator. Today, the Iron Man 3 writer and director (not to mention star of the John McTiernan original) tells Collider that his film does, indeed, tie to franchise continuity.

“Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” Black says, adding that he can, "…really get behind inventive sequels.”

Black will be directing the new film and writing the treatment, which will then be scripted in full by Fred Dekker (with whom Black worked on Monster Squad).

The 1987 original was directed by John McTiernan and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of a United States special forces team that comes under attack from an alien entity that prizes the thrill of the hunt above all else. It was followed by a direct sequel, Predator 2, in 1990 before crossing over with Fox's Alien franchise for two additional sequels, Alien vs. Predator and AvP: Requiem. In 2010, Nimrod Antal helmed a reboot with a new feature, Predators.

John Davis is attached to produce with Matt Reilly overseeing for Fox and Ira Napoliello overseeing for Davis Entertainment.

They should kinda bring in the Predators movies together like the Govt/Army saw all of the incidents from the Predator movies and AVP movies. Maybe they want its weapons or wanna study it or the predator is terrorizing a town. So they send in Arnolds character because he beat one with a special forces/black ops team with The Rock, Statham, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White or a couple of other action guys or The Expendables to hunt the predator. Set it in a jungle or something and just flip the concept around. Now were hunting the ultimate hunter. have Danny Glover make a cameo. Feel like that would be a dope movie.
 
An Expendables / Predator crossover would be cool. I want The Expendables to crossover with everything.

that would be cool... but i like jet li... i dont want him to get slaughtered in the movie... but i am happy it is a sequel and not a reboot. like shane black said, why not work with the blueprint you already have.. i have high expectations for it, especially since black was part of the original cast in the movie.. i dont think and hope he wont mess up the predator franchise more than it already has... it needs a good sequel to the original predator.. cause every other predator movie was garbage..

AVP, saves the girl gives her a alien head to protect her against acid and she gets the alien tail as a weapon? get the f*ck outta here..
and the other movies, predator dogs and birds?or in a high school killing teenagers..? uhm no... garbage...

other than how the other predators look and kill... i still feel the first movie was the best..

Danny Glover should have a cameo in the beginning and then be killed. But I agree that they should build up on Gary Busey's agency/team of Predator Hunters. They could even continue right off AVP:R since the gov't found the Predator's cannon at the very end. Maybe do a half city, half jungle setting since the last movie from 2010 was already in the jungles again.
 
One could watch the first Predator once a year and enjoy it immensely. Movie still holds up in terms of everything.
