I'm probably the only one that didn't care for the huge AIR design. Regardless, the shoe still looks timeless. More for you guys.

super disappointed to only hear about the blacks again. why not sow love to the other og releases. i only say this because i still have 2010s.

I had a kids size. Remember going to Euclid Square Mall to get these in a sz. 6. Had to hit multiple stores until I finally got em!

i got the black volts - they ran tts for me.
the difference on mens vs gs on the air more uptempos is the air bubble in the middle isnt an air bubble, the ones from that pic are a different model.

price was a little high but they're pretty difficult to find in my size.
they're not DS but look pretty close to it. seller seems to be very legit.

Depends on what "Back in the Day" means to you. These were retroed back around 2003 and I think there were a gang of colors, but in '96 there really weren't that many colors to choose from, compared to today standard. There may have seemed like it was 10-12 diff ones because there were Two Different versions (Much & More, which most kids didn't pay attention to) but I'd have to say I remember maybe 6-8 of the "Much" by itself. More Uptempos even less... maybe 4-5 Tops.

Yeah, ppl laugh now about it, but back when they came out in '96, the Kids I grew up with and our peers in Middle School (6th Grade) really didn't pay too much attention to whether they were the "More" or "Much" Uptempos.
"More" were $140 and "Much" were $100, so most Kids parents bought them the "Much" and nobody batted an eye, as long as they were fresh, they were Cool in everybody's eyes.
I had the "More" Uptempos and Kids were in amazement and did point it out whenever there was a pair of "Much" nearby bc of the other kids lack of Air Bubbles, but for the most part, my pair of "More" with the Full-Length Air Bubbles were like Unicorns to my peers in 6th Grade. You just didn't see them much. No pun intended. LOL

Quick Story:
My Grandfather bought me these the Saturday Morning after they dropped (9/14/96), a Day After my 11th Birthday, which also happened to be the Morning after 2Pac Died (9/13/96).
Back then, you really didn't know what was coming out until you went in the Store and BAM they smacked you in the face! My Papa was probably trying to stay under $120 and put me in some Air Jordan's, but when I saw these bad boys, I HAD to have them. They were $140 +Tax, which back then was really High-End, but he didn't make a big deal out of it at all. I told the Footlocker guy that I didn't want the blk/red Air Jordan XI Low IE's anymore, and that I needed a 10.5 in those Pippens!
I was the envy at school & on-court thru the whole 6th Grade. One of thee BEST Birthday presents of ALL-TIME for me.

i was in 8th grade when these dropped! Unfortunately by the time I convinced my parents to buy the OG black/white pair, they were all sold out. I did end up getting the Olympic ones.... AT A NIKE OUTLET! lol when they were like dirt cheap and a lot of other "fire" were sitting and chillin. good ol days Gilroy Outlet 96-97
I finally got the first retro where it was that different material, it just wasn't right, so when the ones that actually wre like the OGs came out I swooped those and still got em in great shape so don't need another pair--regardless if white or black heel swoosh.
I am interested in coppin my wife a pair. I wonder if the GS sizes will also have full bubbles. Can someone remember if the OG kids sizes had full bubbles? I remember in retros one was missing a bubble and I remember eww WEAK.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Pippen actually only wore the black/white pair and the olympics yes? He never wore those other colorways like the ones they put up next to him on that Eastbay ad someone posted. Looks like the Air Pippen 1 in the black/white/red colorway also showing up in stores recently.

If I remember correctly, he wore the Olympic's for sure, and then the White/Black and Black/White throughout the 1995-96 season and Early 1996-97 season... mostly the Black/White. He switched to the Air Pippen 1 after the All-Star break if I recall.
As far as wearing the "Bulls" colorway Blk/Wh/Red pair that I had, I can't say for sure. Although, I do remember a photo in a magazine with them on his feet in a game. But then again, I could be misremembering. Lol

I was referring to the original run back in 96. I seriously remember a million colors. I don't remember a retro of the much's either.
