I knew this would come up. Yea, he didnt start running, he didnt throw it to the ground, etc.etc.
Not saying that they shouldn't have been angry, but the fact that their immediate reaction was violence is unsetttling. Think about it.
I've actually had my phone snagged by a crack head in the hood. Dude was on a bike so I couldn't catch him but I tried. If anyone I don't know reaches for anything of mine without saying anything they will get snuffed. My safety> theirs and my belongings> some idiot getting beat up.
I had a bunch of videos and pictures of my daughter I never uploaded from a family trip. Besides costing me a few hundred and being phone less for a day. Shhh pisses me off still. Don't mess with peoples things. I'd lay that crack head out even if he stopped and gave it back. Don't touch peoples stuff.

These two always doing dumb pranks...they get punched in like every video...until the day they get shot they won't stop either.
they pretty much can go to jail for that prank...taking someone's property is a crime so they can scream "its a prank" all they want they're still committing a crime.
they did another one where they went up to people and were challenging em to a fight. same thing with that.

This is just stupid - a prank is supposed to be smart and funny - that was just dumb.
And, as much as I'm opposed to violence - if someone snatches something from you that would be a time where you would be absolutely correct to tackle them and take it back. I'm not saying you get to beat them down but that reaction is totally appropriate.
