SAN DIEGO COMIC CON THREAD VOL. ITS ALMOST HERE POST YOUR GETUP/PICS/PICKUPS!

I was hoping my meeting at work would fall around the time of the convention this year but it's next month so I can't go this year. I definitely have to make it next year, I just gotta find a place to send my costume to since it'd be too much to fly with

it really isnt a bad price at all considering NECA and the recent Playmates run for about $25 each.

i wish i could get both as this is probably my favorite TMNT game EVER but im in NY so SDCC isnt happening for me.

im scared of what the premium resell will be.. I WANT THEM!!!

Got my two sets of each.

I want one but what am I gonna do with them. I have too many collectibles to put on display.

Man I live in SD and can't even get myself passes to SDCC..

Although it is still very lit outside of the convention center..

+ Downtown nights while Comic Con is in town is fun as well..full of tourists

always exited for this time of the year. look forward to the free swag and the post con parties/ nights in the gas lamp. the offsite events keep getting better each year too.

used to be big about going to the panels, but have opted to watch online the past few years and line up for autograph drawings. although the waits are long being in hall h is def an experience. remember being their for the first iron man panel and seeing the announcement for the avengers. was pretty dope. studios do sometimes give people in the panels exclusives as well

if youre a noob, def plan your attack for the weekend.

-id do at least one hall h panel if theres a film/show youre really into but like others have said expect to wake up early/no sleep and wait long hours for it. just know during off hours, there are lines already formed/being formed whether theyre official or not
-the exhibit hall starts to get small after awhile so be sure to go out and hit up the offsite events, nerd HQ, walking dead always does something, etc.
-free swag is more of a being at the right place at the right time thing tho the bigger booths do timed giveaways when the floor opens and near eod. i recommend following studios/shows on twitter as they post about giveaways. some things are completely random and unannounced too like last years batman v superman sigining
-youll never know who you'll run into. lots of the celebs stay at the hilton/marriott/hard rock.
-i also check out http://sdccblog.com/ for updates every now and then

Comic con is great! I went once, which was a few years ago. The real hard core fans line up for the panels, while the rest just grabs as many swag as possible. You can easily sell everything on ebay if you need to.

But the best part is just walking around the booths and seeing all the cosplay.

Still haven't been to comic con and I've lived here for 10 years :x
Been trying to go for the past 4 yrs n struck iut each time. :x
I opted to go to LA wonder con as compensation. Not as many booth and a lot less crowded but it was perfect for my kids to attend. :pimp:

Will be my third time attending, first time with a pass that actually has my name on it

For those that have never been, you def. should try to go at least once in your lifetime... Especially if youre one of those who still geeks out at TRU as an adult. :pimp:

This is LEGIT one of the funnest things to do in your life... And the kicker is, the convention is in the middle of downtown right next to the ocean & beaches!!! I went for 5 straight years before the endless lines and crowds burnt me out... Plan on going back probably next year tho.

Those NECA Ninja Turtles are def. the moves tho... I remember I bought one of the first version Raphael ones for like $25 then 3 years later saw they were selling for like $200-250 in the aftermarket. I listed mine up for like $200 and that joint sold within seconds. :wow:
