Do you guys think this logo makes album covers look better?

This was my first uncensored CD.  Got it on release day and was in awe of the cover.  Mom hated it so I had to hide it until I was like 16.

I remember being shook by DMX Flesh of my Flesh... cover. First album I remember getting my hands on was Stankonia. Probably one of the few albums where the CD print was better than the album cover :pimp:

I used to sell CDs back in the day. One day I was burning a copy of 3-6 Da Unbreakables but it was taking too long so I went outside. Lo and behold I forgot to turn off the autoplay option when finished :smh: . Came back inside and my mom was beyond PISSED

And just a few years ago my mom needed to borrow my car. But the night before I had been riding around fried blasting Lil B. Of course my mom didn't know how to work my system so she rode to and from work listening to ***** Mob Vol. 1. Guys, imagine trying to explain to your mother what is so "appealing" about a dude calling himself a pretty *****.....

My first uncensored cd my cousin got me and my brother a copy back in 95 when i was like 10 played that **** in the dark under the covers so my pops wouldn't find out.

Mom was shopping in Fred Meyer and me and my brother asked for some money and bought it while she was picking out pantyhose (which for some reason took 30 minutes)

^
Wish there was hd back in her prime. Can hardly find any good vids of her online.

I remember I purchased the edited version of the DTP album by mistake at circuit city. Man, I was pissed when put it in my CD player..smh lol

What's really shocked me is seeing R&B albums with the PA sticker..lol.

I know that feel broseph! I copped the MM LP at Wal-Mart listened to it, next day spoke to my friend at school, dude talking about "yo, you heard the Kim track?" I was like what track is that? The clean version had Kim removed and replaced with a track called "the kids" :smh: never bought CDs from Walmart again.

Same thing happened to me breh. My parents refused to buy me explicit CDs, so I got the edited MMLP. I liked that Kids song though

, but like two months later I got me an explicit MMLP and played Kim nonstop.

The way that song starts man..... "SIT DOWN _________ YOU MOVE AGAIN I'LL BEAT THE _____ OUT OF YOU!!!!!!!!!" 11 year old me was like

I used to have this one cassette, then lost it overtime. Somebody gave me another copy on cd way later, but it was the clean version, and it's terrrrrrible  you cant get an edited No Limit cd, damn near halfway an instrumental

 breh you have no idea. I was like man eff this, I'm a big boy I'm taking myself to the store and buying the uncensored version. Copped it played it on my CD player and when I heard him saying all that. I was scared for my life. I started skipping that track every time I listened to that CD and I used to play it non stop. My 11 y/o ears couldn't handle that track

I remember getting R.Kelly's album, ''R" and as I was getting it, I looked at the cover and I was surprisedto see the sticker. I was literally :wow:

Glad I am not the only one that feels this way, good responses

The first i ever had was either straight outta compton or south of heaven. I remember real young having raising hell when it was out but i dont think it had a sticker.

Tipper Gore went nuts when i was around 10 or so and i grew up through most of that stuff. It def sold records and probably helped nobodys sell records.

I'd just dub tapes from friends to avoid the hassle of moms grilling me about the explicit sticker. Yes, TAPES.

I'll never forget when she first heard the stuff I listened to though. She left the crib but had to come back for something, but in the meantime I was in my room blasting "Doggy Dogg World" at full volume. Probably was creasing up my jeans with hella starch or something while jamming out and didn't hear her come in. She happened to hear Kurupt's "well if you give me 10 ******* then I'll **** all 10" verse. Maaaaan, I got the longest lecture.

Repped kuz Doggystyle was my first uncensored tape back when I was 5 in 93'. My uncle copped it as a X-mas gift. The next year I got It's On 187um Killah  by Eazy. I remember when I was older in 6th grade, my Pops yelling at me for bumping "Gimme that Nutt" in my Gramma's front yard

^^I think it's a few books that got the PA logo on it, but it's a very few amount. As far As album covers, it just gives it an edgy look.

Word. I don't know what it is but the Parental Advisory logo does make the album covers look way more edgy. wouldn't cop a CD without it forreal. Was bout 16 when I purchased L's album. Artwork was mad icy so I had to cop. And wasn't disappointed. Still one of my favorite albums of All Time yo

The first CD i bought that had parental advisory was probably Slim Shady LP.

But i will never forget hearing flesh of my flesh and the opening line..."I got blood on my hands and there's no remorse, I got blood on my **** cause i ****** your corpse"
I remember exactly where i was when i heard that line.
