Ramadan for the Muslim Brothas

Ramadan Mubarak! First day is always the worst.

Random story: today a mad tatted up Spanish dude from my building told me he was fasting and that the first time he ever fasted was in Iraq while he was in desert storm. He said it was tough but he always remembered how the battle of badr was during Ramadan so it kept him going. Been around Muslims my whole life and half of them would not even get that. Gotta love converts man. Sometimes they really put it all together more than those born to the religion and put us to shame.

For sure. They don't take it for granted

For the non Muslims in here, you should give fasting a shot for a day. I would love to here your take on it afterwards.

I did a week of  water only before. Never actually fasted during ramadan. Thinking of starting tomorrow and going until 30 July.

Oh he's only 7 months. It's crazy last Ramadan my wife was pregnant with him and now he's a real person.
It's just a whole different feeling during Ramadan with a child. So much more to be thankful for Alhamdulillah

Nothing better than the night time indoor soccer tournaments we have during Ramadan. I'll be sad to see them end in a couple weeks.

Ramadan Kareem my brothers insha Allah, Allah blesses you all and your loved ones during this time. Muslim or not may peace be upon all of you. I missed a lil more than a week this Ramadan so I will be fasting after Eid as well to make up my days. This is my 2nd Ramadan fasting and praying at least 3-5 times a day. I really enjoy the purity, discipline and physical, mental and spiritual cleansing I've been experiencing. I hope to see you guys all back in here on Eid, take care brothers and sisters
