Dallas Mavericks 2015-2016 Season Thread

MANNNNN....whats going on Rondo didnt want to be here from the jump at least we lost only role players for him now Parsons out for year if we cant get another point guard next year time to get the dynamite out.... i cant see my mavs building through draft and we dont get the big free agent signings here.... but i dont want us to be in the 6,7 or 8 spot just barely making playoffs either we want a title contending team every year...i dont want Rondo back even if he's willing to sign he's Odom 2.0 for real but i wish he would have quit on us before that eye injury smh

There's always a chance if there's no market. Depended on what offers there were out there. "Playoff Rondo" had a decent outing in Game 1 before fizzling out and bottoming out in Game 2. If Rondo had a good showing in the playoffs, then I see no reason why Dallas wouldn't resign him.

Rajon rondo is super lame. His lack of motivation is very unprofessional doing this in the playoffs. It was a very bad decision to get him to Dallas.

Donnie has to catch some flack here as well. If your team is an offensive juggernaut then that's your team makeup. Gutting 3 key role guys for 1 player doesn't make you a defensive team overnight (very few players in the league that can do that, Tony allen, deandre, draymond, etc). Mavs were gonna beat you with their offensive firepower to start the year and with the trade that mentality dwindled.

This ..and the fact we finally out rebounded somebody, 52-38 or something like that.
 
Rebounding is the key to winning. Can't give a team like Houston easy second chance points, especially after defending well for the first 20 seconds or so of the shot clock.

Aminu was a huge x-factor. Momma, there goes that man! One game at a time guys! First step was avoiding the sweep.

Mavs starting PG’s:

GM 1: Rondo- 15 pts, 5 ast
GM 2: Rondo- 4 pts, 1 ast
GM 3: Felton- 0 pts, 1 ast
GM 4: Barea- 12 pts, 8 ast (In 1st half)

Barea looked great running the offense. His ability to shoot better than Rondo helps spacing so much. 130 and 121 points since the banishment is definitely trending in the right direction. 
 
I don't know what caused Rondo to not be engaged. Maybe Kobe gave him secret instructions to shut it down, then join him with the Lakers.

I don't want to see Dirk hang it up. He still had some game, just needs to be a 3rd option.

OKC will be back, NOP and Utah will be around.
 
Good season, despite all the adversity. Disappointing end to the season, but it's tough when you lose one starter to a season-ending injury and the other to a ******* that gave up on the team.
 
Only way we can get better is a salary dump.

LMA ain't coming here.

With Parsons hurt we in trouble.

This was not a good season. Rondo ruined something that could have been special.

I haven't been this disappointed since 2010.

same man the team showed good fight in this series we were just undermanned. Lma is an option but not feasible financially leaving us a pencil thin guard lineup. Deandre jordan is appealing too but idk.

Did yall see the Ty Lawson tweet? Saying he wishes he'd play with us lol
 
Man I truly have no idea what is going to happen and I for the first time in my Mavs fandom I don't trust them to do the right thing.

The Rondo was a 2K trade and not a good basketball trade.

So unless you plan on playing one of them at 4 no bueno.

I'm serious about dumping Parsons with his injury. I'd trade him and Felton for D-Will.

That would be nice... even for Lawson I'd do it. Aminu would still be our main bench guy but he's gonna cash out after this series and start somewhere.
