Besides the many sign and trade option for Rondo and Monta, anybody willing to accept $2M - vet minimum a year to play here including Amare.

Richard Jefferson just agreed one a 1 year deal, and JJ Barea working a deal to come back and he was in talks with Miami on a 3 year deal until DJ signed.

DJ, Wes Matthews and Parsons already influencing players and Parson with executive of year award with the recruiting on both players.

Whatever was goin on with the Clippers is now slowly being exposed, as DJ chose to leave a better team in LA who just signed Paul Pierce and more money ($30M) to come to Dallas. :smokin

Follow fish religiously lol

Sign and trades to gain more exceptions and space (can go over with them) CJ Watson,Donald Sloan, Mahimi, PJ Tucker all options...

Amare is most likely gone because he can get more elsewhere...

Jeremy Lin or Mo Williams are targets a well as Jermaine Oneal, Rashard Lewis,  Dalembert, Darell Arthur, or any other reclamation type guys we could also target.

Charlie V most likely back too

S&T Monta for Hibbert then Hibbert for Jordan gives you cap room and the MLE I think. Enough to fill out bench. Assuming Indy and LAC agree to deal because you don't have assets.

Lakers are working a trade for Hibbert. Assuming it goes through, it kills your trades to Indiana and the clippers. This would mean you have no exceptions and are completely capped out right?

Aminu for Wes brah

That by itself keeps us as an over the cap team with all our exceptions

And a 3 way with Hibbert can always be worked out.

Hell Lebron, Bosh and Wade all got s and Tes

whats our next move?....on paper we barely make playoffs j.lin aint getting us over that hump we need a trill pg we dont have anyone worth trading to get at ty lawson but that would be a great addition to the squad....

Not many options left at PG, with Cory Joseph going to TOR and Mo Williams going back to CLE. It'll have to be PG by committee at this point, hopefully with Jeremy Lin starting. Should fare well in a flow offense, with 3 penetrating PnR point guards. We averaged 120 points with the corpse of Jameer Nelson starting for us before Rondo.

No "trill" PG this year... look for them to target Brandon Jennings next year. Consider this though.. Carlisle almost got that shanty team with Mayo and Collison to the playoffs so anything can happen

Mo Williams signed for like 2 mil... seems like they really value Jlin... I hope Amare comes back.

You were so dead set that we wouldn't get DJ look what happened

Wish we had ANYTHING of value to offer Boston for one of their guards... Smart or Bradley would be dope.

I aint gonna lie, I also thought DJ wasn't coming here, but now I understand the value of off court friendships, thanks to Parsons ...who is also supposedly close to Blake. After listening to Parsons interview on 105.3, Dallas needed a young "cool" guy that likes to network with other players in the league, and Dirk is/was not that guy.

I'm not a fan of J.Lin and haven't watched him awhile, but they say he excels at the PnR and driving to the basket, which in turn will assure that DJ gets the scraps and easy dunks, lobs etc. and Wes Matthews get the kick out open three.

Going to LA was the worst thing for him.. he'll be serviceable here. Looks like Jet is coming back

I'm not a huge J.Lin fan but how many dudes were cast offs before they got here and flourished?

JJ Barea
B. Bass
Aminu
Brandon Wright
Stackhouse.

I mean those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Dudes come here resurrect their careers and get paid.

J. Lin could come here and flourish.

Hell I bet money he does.

If it's a one year deal, I'm good with it...

We aren't contending this year regardless... Next offseason Chandler will opt out, hopefully takes a small cut to give us some flexibility and we can unleash him and DJ recruiting whoever.

We still  have a chance at the playoffs though... I mean we have no pick so might as well give it all

Through 37 games last year we were a top 4 seed and had a historic offense. If we had just traded for a Mo Williams instead of Rondo we finish top 4 in the West.

OKC, Memphis, San Antonio, are the only teams I'd say are just hands down better than us. Probably the Clips still as well.

But man I'm telling yall Deron is coming home.

They keep saying they aren't going to cut him but him being on the roster costs them 30-40M in tax alone plus his salary. He has a 15% trade kicker so ain't no team going to pay him 23 and 25 million the next two years.

The Nets have been cutting costs in every aspect the last year and it just doesn't make sense for them to keep him and pay him.

People think he's washed but he would come home and cook.

Prolly still better than the Clippers. They lost a major piece to their puzzle. To you guys. And people laugh when I say this, but Matt Barnes was the "glue" and he was their "heart and muscle" more so than Cliff Paul. So the Clippers have fallen far, and pretty fast. Like Reddick said, they only had to do one thing, and that was bring back DJ, and they didn't.

People keep talking about how Blake and Cliff made DJ and the truth of the matter is both of them are fragile and the only person that has been there all of the last few seasons is DJ.

His numbers didn't fall when Blake went out or when Chris went out. Hell they went up.

I've been agreeing with you on this for a while now

Nets aren't gonna do it... unless they trade Joe as well

Boy I'm glad I was wrong. I underestimated the beef between CP3 and DJ.

I hope you're right. A buyout really is the only way, since we don't have the assets to even complete a trade. I'd welcome him in that situation. He's fallen off so much but would excel as a 4th or 5th option on our team.

Agreed. This was a huge sell to DJ by the Mavs. His numbers hovered in the 20/20 range when Blake was out. Play alongside Dirk and you get the space to roll hard to the rim and have plenty of opportunities to destroy a lot players (e.g., Brandon Knight).

Naw we need them to keep Joe, if they can dump Joe they might keep Deron.

Tax line is at 81-82 million. With the deals they already have in place plus their rookies and their current players they at like 97.

For that 16 million they over the tax line they gotta cut a check to the NBA for almost 40Ms.

If they can't dump Joe they can cut 12.4M off the books this year and 30M in taxes in one fell swoop by stretch waiving Deron.

That's 42.4M saved this year just by cutting him if they can't dump Joe.

The cap is jumping like crazy next year and the years afterwards so Deron' 8.3 cap charge for being waived the next 4 years is nothing comparably speaking.
