Yes, I have my license, but when it got to the parallel park section, there was only one car the instructor just had me park behind the car and pretend there was another car behind it to parallel park.

Whenever I go to the city, I usually get out and have my girl do it for me or I just try avoiding the city altogether.

Yes, I've tried it multiple times and every time it fails miserably.

Anyone else have trouble parallel parking?

Buy a car that can do it for you failure.

 @ get out the car and let your girl do it for you or avoid the city

I live in a ghetto neighborhood where my entire block is full of multi-families living under a single household so there is never any parking! Move to my area and you'll become pro in no time!

The trick is where you start, lining up to the car or just a little past it to give yourself enough slack before turning in. Get your behind in just enough then turn the opposite and adjust. Practice makes perfect you can do it !

I remember when I drove my truck in San Francisco for the first time, I had to parallel park on a steep *** street while several cars were going around me, I was sweating after 5 minutes of waiting and adjusting. But, now after parking through out the city for a while, I'm a pro. OP just practice, practice, practice until it becomes second nature.

when i visit my friend from philly i tell them to get out the car and guide me to park... still takes 15 minutes though

You need to take some time out & practice.

Go to the city real late & parallel your a_ out.

Also, this is NT, it'd be crime for me not to mention that your girl probably has a man on the side that can parallel park.

Good ol' Tyrone...

Luckily I was forced to learn early on into having my l's. I do have trouble parallel parking on the left side of the street on a one-way. It throws me off so bad lol

OP it's nothing more than cutting the wheel and moving in reverse/forward about 2-3 times. Trust me you can do it.

...and stop letting your girl parallel park for you before Tyrone gets her in ear and tells her how he's been driving stick since he was 14

Backup camera helps so muchhhhhhhhhhh...

I can parallel like a pro now.

Anywhere.

Before though......

Her: "Babe, park right there"

Me: "That's too small, I won't fit"
